Never really thought about myself as a blogger, but I'm in search of some help I guess, and a normal topic just doesn't feel right
Anyway, to those going off to college and those already there, what's a good way to apply for and obtain scholarships? I'm pretty lost, and my guidance counselor is no help really. I've gotten one without filling anything out by chance I think, and I'm applying for another one, but other then that I don't know where to find them, what good ones are, etc. (I'm from the US) (also probably attending Rutgers University in NJ)
Also, I am constantly late, mostly to everything I do. How do you guys feel about people being late all the time? Probably has something to do with how i was raised, as my entire extended family is late to everything we do. I see times more as a guideline, why does everything have to be so exact.
Also started smoking weed recently, that's pretty good. Kind of helped spotlight how uptight and serious some people are.

um, are you actually from the US and just have belize as your country? if not, I have no idea If so, there are a bunch of federal grants, and some merit-based scholarship programs that you can apply for. Robert Byrd is a national one that is attainable http://www.ed.gov/programs/iduesbyrd/eligibility.html your home state should have plenty of in state scholarships, honestly your GC should have a book or list of available scholarships for you to look through other than that, google is your friend.
and i hate people that are late

I feel a lot of the Scholarships are school specific - aka you have to be going to that school in order to receive the scholarship. UCLA and Berkeley both have school-specific scholarship (as does USC). It's so messed up I'm having problems applying for scholarships too and the only lead I have is this school specific one to Stanford but I don't want to apply for it because I want scholarships that are useful regardless of where I go.
I think that in order to be late all the time, you have to be a) wicked badass at whatever you do and b) it has to be part of your personality or else it's just obnoxious.

You should at least fill out the FAFSA and the CSS form or whatever it is (the college board equivalent) because that will make you eligible for most need based stuff.

Actually I just learned that the psychological root for being late constantly is a lack of respect for others, you simply don't respect their time and you want to do it your way. Sounds pretty harsh ya but it's actually the truth (lol your not alone though).

I'm not too chuffed about others being late, even though I have really unrealistic expectations most of the time and are wondering if something's happened to them if they're 5 mins late already. I'm really obsessive about being on time, and usually will do anything possible to not be late, but also try not to be too early either.

I'm late all the time everywhere but I view it as something unacceptable. Its like procrastination, I know its bad and I shouldn't do it but I don't bother fixing it. And don't smoke weed. Waste of money.
