Random level in the middle of The Red Star. Things are easier earlier on and harder later. There's also Contra: Shattered Soldier on PS2. It plays like old-school Contra except the tweaked weapon system, so I don't think it needs any explanation. It's considered one of the best in the series. Along those lines, there's Metal Slug 4 & 5 (together) on the PS2 as well that was released outside Japan. If you're a little more dedicated you can try playing some of the shmups on the PS2 like Gradius 5 that support co-op. If you've played RPGs together, you can play Tales of Symphonia as well. That got a PS2 port some time ago. It may be worse than Star Ocean 3, but in ToS multiple players can control multiple characters in battle with the remaining handled by the AI as usual. It's a very well-liked action RPG. IIRC it supports up to 4 players in battle. | ||
