I played Laced, SpiritoftheTuna and Chill today. All of the games were way fun and i got a chance to play some lady who i nuked like 4 times before she finally gave me a "" and left. My game with chill turned into a lesson on how strong 4 hatch lings into banelings is, especially against 3 gate zeals. Nonetheless I had a great time in the SC2 section today and got quite a few games in.
After the first session of games I went back to the Pro Gamer area to await the finals, NaDa vs Savior. It just so happened I came back in time to watch NaDa warming up against a computer, let me tell you even when hes comp stomping his hands are so fucking impressive. I cannot even fathom how he actually hits the keys at that speed, it was truly a humbling experience when I thought of how slow my hands are. After I watched him play I went and joined all the TL guys right in the front to watch the finals.
I felt like I was watching ShinHan Masters as both of the players sat in their booths, NaDa had his TL cheerful up and sported it proudly. Once again LosingID8 led us in our cheers for the players ,which were fucking great by the way, and the games began. Needless to say Savior defeated NaDa which was fucking awesome, though I would have been just as happy to see NaDa win too. Saviors interview was sweet especially the part in English, he looked really happy to me and I really think he meant what he said.
After that the only thing left to do was play SC2 all day long. I played in one of the community tournaments but I got knocked out right away and the line was so slow it wasn't worth standing in it again. I went to the SC2 area and spent four or five hours going back and forth through the lines. It is amazing how easy it is beat people in SC2 with a minimal amount of Brood War skill. Of course thats not to say Sc2 is easier, just nobody can cookie cut strategies.
After maybe 15-20 games the day was coming to an end which worked out well since I ran into Chill, Haji and the rest of the TL guys on my last leg. We made plans for dinner and I played my final game of SC2, a truely nice send off amongst the Blizz exec metal band and the cool symphony performance of Blizzard music.
We went to a nice Korean restraunt where we had to divy up our koreans so we could order and understand what we were getting. I got some really good soup with Kimchi in it, I have to admit I only ordered it because I know July loves the shit. AFter we ate it was time to drive back to San Diego to where we were sleeping, I said goodbye to everyone and made my way out to the car. All in all it was a great trip.
I will be writing a review of SC2 along with a few nice tidbits I picked up around Blizzcon, until then peace out yo.
