If you guys don't know what ESWC is, it stands for Electronic Sports World Cup and it's a tournament where players around the world attend. The games this year was: CS 1.6, WC3, DotA, Quake 3, and Track Mania. What is cool is that this year ESWC is in San Jose, California and I happen to live about 15 minutes away. And this is the first time ESWC is outside of France and since the creation of this event it has always been hosted in France. The tickets to enter is $10 and it covers the 3 days the event will be held. Since I work for MYM, I got in for free and got to go directly inside the tournament area. Below are some pictures and I don't have a lot since the camera I was using crapped out on me... -____-
ESWC main stage

nVision LAN BYOC
SK.Ladies (America/Canada) vs E-Honor (China) for CS female

Yeah, Grubby was there, but I don't know how well he did in the tournament.

I saw the signs for nVision 08 but I didn't realize they had gaming tournaments there. I work right across the street in the Heritage bank building and didn't even go.
Werk werk.

where in San Jose was this held?
|
The Center for Performing Arts and the SJ Convention Center.

Yeah, it was more than ESWC too since companies like XFX, EVGA, Patriot, etc were there to show off some new stuff. I got to play Call of Duty 4 and Crysis on max settings and it looks pretty sick.
