It's even less of an MMO than genshin. There is 0 multiplayer, co-op or PvP. There's a lot of emphasis on their storytelling. If you like Genshin storytelling you'd like this. I'm generally pretty negative on Genshin's storytelling until it got to Sumeru. Not sure yet if this is at that level. Music and presentation is very good. It's very polished, competitive with AAA games. Sci Fi setting is a bit generic, but the "space train" nature of the game means they have a lot of freedom to go anywhere they want. Need to play more but it seems pretty good. Appeal is if you want a story focused game with endearing characters, that is relatively casual. A lot of the free characters are very good or top tier.

Sequencing things in the correct order and managing buffs takes some effort. For example, Dan Heng, your first free dps unit, is actually a Top 3 single target dps unit, but only if piloted optimally. You can just ez auto clear through the story, but I've had to use my brain a bit for Simulated Universe (the rogue-lite mode).

I really don't mind the turn-based combat style so far. Plus it's Sci-Fi, which is a nice shake-up from the medieval fantasy Genshin. edit: Rofl... 4th account reroll: I guess I got what I needed (multiple 5-stars) but not what I wanted (Bronya) + Show Spoiler + Anyway, the welcome banner lasts just 5 days total, so I might as well keep rerolling for the funsies over the weekend, but I highly doubt I will ever top this account.

How is everyone enjoying it? The underwater exploration is pretty good, but the enemies seem to have trouble aiming their attacks accurately in a 3D space... Also they changed the swimming mechanic to have its own stamina bar. You no longer drown your whole team when you run out of stamina while swimming. You just stop in place, kinda like how you stop running and go back to walking when you run out of normal stamina. There's definitely something wrong with the Hydro Archon, either a case of split personality or she's just a brat that has never been taught how to act properly. Could be either.

Underwater stuff is hit or miss. The environment is pretty. Traversal is moderately awkward because of the dive/surface buttons, but swimming with the camera works fine for most things. This is gonna give me hand cramps though. Underwater combat kinda blows - there's not much of interest here. Not a fan of the ousia/pneuma mechanics so far. I've only completed the first part of the Archon quest so far. + Show Spoiler + It's basically Phoenix Wright, but more simplistic. Wouldn't say it's particularly well executed, but it's a change of pace. The hydro archon is your typical "trying to live up to a standard they can't meet" character. She's annoying at best as written. She'll probably "improve" in subsequent parts but I'm not very invested right now.
