If its for learning and not just entertainment you get better knowledge from watching streams, example Light, Soma, Snow who stream daily.
You can find stream links on Liquipedia.
A stream shows some useful things: hotkey usage, mouse aim, viewport placement, F-location placement, tactical tricks, other tricks.
Among the stuff you wouldnt notice in a replay.

ouch, Group C is tough... SK, Best, Snow, Light :O However, Bisu should advance rather easily, i really like that fact

Jd.... such a bad group for him

And group C is insane!!!!

Also if i understand how this works - every next player picks the next opponent in his group, so all the rest guys think JD is top5 contender(besides the group leaders). Thats something.

Was kinda happy with that group for JD. Lights group is challenging

I remember when Jd lost to SK and action and shine and I was very upset

He just needs to practice vs good opponents like he is doing now. If he is able to put down the hours he is good contender for top2 in this group.

I'd say past two/three months Jaedong has been practicing more seriously and it is showing in his online play. Issue is though the entire field of talent has gotten closer to his level.

Yes i agree, this is why he has to just put up the hours. I mean i saw a video of him explaining how they would train in the old days in his team. He explained they did 12h sessions non stop game after game after game, every day. If he wants to be on top he needs to commit himself like that for a few months around and during ASL.

So I've noticed that in the last 6 months or so that some zergs have started going 11 hatch instead of 12 hatch in ZvT, that's somewhat new right? Or has that been a thing for a long time and I'm only just now noticing it? What is the reasoning behind it? I'm guessing to get the hatch and pool up a bit faster vs a possible 8rax?

ok, group c is the obvious group of death. group d is fascinating. bisu vs mind grudge match, where bisu could get revenge for MSL. herO slumping like crazy in daily proleagues. and sSak aka sSuck who is actually showing decent form (relative to his previous skill) and could upset mind in a tvt? group d is gonna be actually insane to watch. very volatile, unpredictable group imo.

group C is absolutely insane.. what the actual fuck.. how did that happen??? makes no sense whatsoever..
both Bisu and Jaedong have decent chances to advance into the ro8 actually, which would be great for ratings.
exciting ro16 ahead! nice.

exciting ro16 ahead! nice. Royal changed JyJ with SnOw That seems like a good move by Royal. I imagine Light and Snow are the two players most capable of eliminating Royal later in the bracket. Now both of them have as difficult a path to the Ro8 as could be arranged.
Go Best!
Edit: it looks like Royal could have swapped Light with Barracks instead, leaving a group of Rush, Light, Zero, Snow? I’m actually a bit surprised he didn’t do that instead. I suppose the choice he did make demonstrates a lot of respect for Best and Soulkey. That is, he must either be more scared of Best/Soulkey than Rush/Zero, or he thinks Best/Soulkey are more likely to knock out Light/Snow than Rush/Zero would be.

Royal picked SnOw and think between Group C and D. He is more concerned SnOw rather than Light. I think he believed SK/Light more than HerO/Bisu.

soulkey best light have relatively good records vs snow over past few months. so that was honestly a realllly good move by royal because royal has a terrrible record vs snow. he wants to avoid snow at all costs.
