That's like the opposite of me. I was a hardcore SC player before I found 2D fighting games. 3D fighting games have never interested me much, though. I played some Soul Calibur 2 but it never caught on. I find 2D fighters much more fun.
Actually this is less true in SC because weapons extend your range? Still no projectiles.
WTF lol @ breast upgrade diagrams. You've got to wonder when it's going to stop. Soul Calibur 5? 6? Never? I mean, after a certain point they reached critical mass.
pretty good fighting game imo. i havent played any other soul caliber game though so i can't compare it. lots of customization for chars though which is awesome
So far the netcode has made it physically painful to play this online. most games i have to literaly guess what input i should do 1 second from now, and pray to god it actualy does it, and i still want it to be done. basicly online for this game is complete and utter trash.

Heh, sounds like my first wifi experience with Brawl Fighters just don't work very well online
I liked SC2 quite a bit, might get this soon regardless of bad online play

I glanced at those words out of context and started laughing.
When the game comes out the twelve year old who pick it up as their first real RTS will say this. "Yeah I was a hardcore scII player but then I found my Dad's game called Brood War"

Tier lists usually take a while to develop from my understanding. I dunno how long tho
Soulcalibur II is one of the most genius games every made. Its extremely fun.
Soulcalibur III was very buggy and unbalanced, they fixed the bugs and balanced it for the arcades but they never released a new fixed version for consoles unfortunately...
Soulcalibur IV is a great game. I'm having a lot of fun with it. Online play only works if your opponent got 5 lag bars. 4 bars or less lags alot for a fighting game. Yoda and the apprentice are worthless. There a couple of bugs that Namco will patch soon hopefully. I think this game is a lot of fun, highly recommended!
How are the new mechanics such as the instant death and armor-removing penalties? I usually am reticent to throw complexity at a wall and hope better ideas stick.

Lol its so typical Soulcalibur. Just like usual NamcoBandai hired a bunch of apes to beta test the game. Ivy with an infinite lol! Maybe there will be a patch sometime before 2010 (to upgrade breast sizes).
