First of all I must bring to awareness, the axiomatic assumptions carried by the writer.
[definition] axiomatic :
1.Evident without proof or argument.
2. Containing aphorisms or maxims.
3. Of or relating to or derived from axioms.
axiom:
1. A saying that is widely accepted on its own merits.
2. (logic) a proposition that is not susceptible of proof or disproof; its truth is assumed to be self-evident,
THE MONKEY AND TYPEWRITERS THEORY
This theory I contend and will contend until the end of earth. It is said that statistically, or theoretically, if there be a chamber containing a million monkies, and a million type-writers, that eventually they will produce the works of some historical literature piece, like Shakespeare.
That will never happen, not even if the numbers were infinite or if the creatures were imbued with eternal life.. or if the type writers were indestructible.
If would never happen unless a higher frequency of intelligence stepped in and guided them somehow. Understandably, this most be correlated to the other known fact, that you cannot generate anything truly random within the digital realm of computers. For the reason, a random number is sourced from a stamp taken of the current date and time, down to the millisecond. That random amount is then inputted into a formula which scrambles it to produce the random number.
Even the game Doom, had a cyclic array which was used to induce randomness within the game & environment. (Like the spread of the shotgun blast pattern, or the odd chance an Imps fireball might miss fire, or when a cyber-demon would sporadically flinch when harmed)
So how can we even count on a computer that's been instructed to eternally grind random amounts?... Waiting for some expected outcome. We would have to wait for Time itself to favour the situation, in the most preliminarily contrived motive.
THE MYTH OF SCIENCE FICTION
There is no such thing as science fiction. That is simply a way of categorizing a certain taste and idealistic comfort zone for the audience.
[definition] Science:
1. Study of the physical and natural world using theoretical models and data from experiments or observation.
2. A particular branch of scientific knowledge.
3. Ability to produce solutions in some problem domain.
4. Research into questions posed by scientific theories and hypotheses
Fiction is fiction. Fiction being, a literary work based on the imagination and not necessarily on fact. The word science fiction, suggests that there is a fixed alternative science in the created world, of the imagined story.
Science-Fiction is just a clever way of taking an audience, that fancies their selves as methodical, rational people, and branding them as stereo-typically responsive to ONLY a certain brand of story-telling.
A clever way (and possibly slightly repressive) of limiting their lifestyle and beliefs to a very rigid and thus limited framework, and approachability. A way of omitting from their personal bookshelves books like Harry Potter, Narnia or the Enchantment of the Fairy Realm (Ted Andrews).
But more or less, there comes a point where there MUST be a bridge between the world of fiction and our world. So it is not over-reaching to relate some discoveries in between and apply them to our situation and planet.
NOW we continue with our great case study of the Zerg and Protoss.
THE ZERG
The zerg are a race which have some ability to steer their evolution with intelligent direction. It is said that there is a hierarchy established within the zerg. Where, cerebrates distribute instructions to overlords, who in turn relay orders to lesser units. But the sum total will of the swarm, are all instructions emanating from the Overmind.
This is easily compared to what time people call Communism.
[definition] Communism:
1. A form of socialism that abolishes private ownership
2. A political theory favouring collectivism in a classless society
But there's definitely rank and a bit of ceremonial class in the zerg swarm, hence the dialogue between the elite cerebrates, Zasz and Daggoth.
Zasz said to infested Kerrigan - (Starcraft 1 - Chapter II - Mission 6):
"You dare threaten a cerebrate? You will be the doom of us all!"
We must return to our mundane world and consider our theory of evolution, which in itself is a slightly debilitating theory of assertive paralysis.
Our theory says that we are trapped in physical bodies that have taken shape via DNA and gene configuration. These bodies have no particular design or contrived nature, and survival of the fittest happens when a being or creature inherits a certain favourable attribute, by accident. (Like a sharp claw, or camouflaged coat)
These features, when they do mutate and occur, are completely random and accidental, and happens within the immutable gene pool.
Our theory asserts that people are doomed to evolve endlessly without any guided influence that allows monitoring or control.
But the Zerg race is a collective entity that will continue doing this until the very end.
It is not suggested that an eventuality of perfection is envisioned by the Zerg, or the Overmind. In fact, it is quite clear that the race is imbued with a bottomless desire to keep consuming without scruple or reserve.
This dynamic theme contained in the scenario is not unthinkable, or impossible, especially when we introduce key aspects of psychology. The id.
I like to call this thing the I.D, and I've also called the gaming company I-D software since the beginning of 1995.
[Definition] id:
(psychoanalysis) primitive instincts and energies underlying all psychic activity
Remember the id, is a relatively endless force, produced within the mind and bodies of people and living entities, that drives the being forward.
An illustrative example would be of hunger and thirst, where within these feelings technically ALWAYS exist, until a point where they're satisfied.
During this examination, can be consider a being that has somehow dealt with destructive and unpleasing instinctual drives?
For now, this relentless biological theme can be correlated with a horrible notion of 'progress'.
The technological process of industrialism and mechanization. Mechanisation, controlled by only a handful of people could appear equally as unstoppable as Evolution, where those who dictate the direction and trend of things, will lead the people into a technological entrenchment.
This fear exists when people imagine their biological form reaching a point of irretrievable ugliness. A non-human state, perhaps a horrible non-symbiotic state.
One shudders when imagining taking the form of a spider or insect, as their opposite female counter-part will take the form of a spider too. Not simply a loss of identity, but a loss of biological beauty and creative expression!
Surely the Zerg experience this, What a nightmarish scenario! Being trapped with entwining roots buried into the earth, like some lazy brooding sonorous Sunken Colony. nourished by some tendril or tube that feeds you with nutrients harnessed from the creep! No need for expressive clothes to keep you warm, just the neural and organic kinetic of biological design that fuels life!
PROTOSS
The Protoss are collective, they are linked by a pervasive psychic energy. They are basically humanoid in form, but.. they interact through the world through technology. They fly in spaceships and wear combat suits. They wield psi-blades which still, require a machine to channel via.
The same dread of progress and technology is found in them, and much more relevant, especially in the line of Mechanization and Industrialization.
People fear that those who dictate progress and technology will bring our people, and our planet to a point where we are inextricably wired into the machine.
As if, we'd only have to invoke a thought, and a drone will bring us a cup of coffee. There are even semi-lunatic theories accusing Bill Gates - the greatest philanthropist and businessmen known to me - of trying to conspire and introduce computer chips into us. I adore Bill Gates and refuse to believe he can't be trusted, especially since he normalized the computer industry and made it accessible to the people.
Progress, machines, technology. Is it maybe really our human form, evolving forward? Defying the organic prison that nature has given us. Is progress, man's way of controlling life, on all levels?
Perhaps through mechanization and industry, we're breaking out of that morbid theory of evolution. That Horrible theory by Charles D. Why worry about sprouting sudden new arms or extra limbs when we can have a robotic arm or cybernetic eyes? Like Syndicate PLUS (Bullfrog)
Yes once our consciousness & minds have broken out of this prison-shell of flesh, we can bulldoze forwards and control our life, our form, the environment & scenery.. with machines and technology. We will continue to do so until the human is simply a brain floating in a fluidic tank.
But.. the protoss, even though they did not show signs of overt creative expression, lacking signs of effeminate beauty in their humanoid bodies. They did not manifest the nightmare scenario mentioned above.
The fear of progress and mechanization, is when a person feels they will no longer be able to feel the warmth of the sun on their bodies and skin. That they will lose the ability to submit to the sonorous might of a thunder storm. For in these moments, people are reminded that man is a smaller derived entity, in relation to some bigger macrocosm.
SOCIALISM: UED - TERRAN DOMINION - UPL - THE CONFEDERACY
The fear of socialism comes from the fact that people, imagine a world where effort is removed. Where there is no evil or good, struggle or effort.
For the reason, they suppose that in socialism society will reach such a height of excellency,
that all coldness, hunger, poverty and cruelty will be removed.
A static, one-dimensional heavenly bliss. (EDIT: A hedonistic utopia)
All the Terran regimes mentioned above, which ones purported to adapt THIS system of government?
But if this is the description of Socialism, how come the world can't stand the idea? Have they confused it with communism, the bee-hive state? They might fear a centralized rule of bureaucratic elites (The overmind & cerebrates) who want a communistic state.
Carrying the people with the precept: "what's good for the Overmind is good for the swarm"
AFTERMATH
a few words said by the writer in the light of recent events:
Accept me saying sorry for any unpleasing work I might've produced in the past. My narrative takes the form of my own coined technique: elvish-trolling, elf-trolling or elvish-mongering.
It's a much more subtle form of trolling and nearly impossible to assail, and hence the triumph of the art form, since the audience delights in watching the display, of fuming intellectuals spluttering with disbelief, unable to dismantle and debunk the post itself.
Yet I must commit to my topics, else they'd never be produced. And I welcome being approached & reproved. I like engaging in light confrontation, because, when I play of your reactions I learn more and my incipient ideology becomes better and stronger.
I am capable of mistakes, but with that mistake comes the weight of duty. And blessed as I am with extra-ordinary intelligence my mistakes tend to be correspondingly huger than most
