I feel like my boredom doesn't even come from not being able to go anywhere due to the current situation - let's be honest, I wouldn't go anywhere much anyways - but I recently finished my Master's paper and thus my regular self-imposed work schedule I've been following is gone. I'm someone who likes structure and being productive. I need shit to do, even if it's just writing up random stuff like this.
I am very grateful these days that SC2 is providing at least somewhat of a structure to my weeks at the moment. I love following the ESL Open Cups on Sunday, write a Recap for them on Monday. I then follow the GTC on Monday and Tuesday, take notes of what's happening, and write the Recaps the day after, housekeeping the statistics on Liquipedia. When the line-ups come out on Friday, I do the Preview Fri/Sat and combine everything. It's been fun following all the crazy rumours coming from the Chinese scene. With all the online stuff going on and everyone being excited it feels like the very early days of SC2.
StayAtHomeStory Cup was also a blast, and the best part is that I came up with the name. I love SC2, it's been such a huge part of my life, and contributing to things like this is fucking amazing to me.
I've also been playing more SC2 again lately. I've gotten two of my friends back into the game, so we play a lot of 1v1 against each other, 2v2 and 3v3 together and we are much better than years ago. It's a lot of fun (2v2 more so, I feel like you have more control over what's going on and die to less random shit and mass Protoss air).
Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord has also been taking up some of my time, and it's such a great game already. I sunk so much time into Warband, and Bannerlord feels like an improvement in every regard. With mods this game is going to be a mainstay in my gaming time for years to come.
I've recently come upon 'Nightcore' music on my Youtube binges. From what I can gather it's basically sped up and feminized/higher pitched versions of songs that already exist, but somehow it's really good - Rammstein and Sabaton apparently sound really cool a bit faster and with more high pitched sound.
Roleplaying has also been a great way to spend time with my friends. We have two Star Wars Edge of the Empire campaigns going (I'm DMing one and playing in the other), and those have been really fun (and more frequently played!). We've also been playing D&D inside the TL.net writing staff, which always leads to heavy fits of laughing all around.
With my Master's thesis done, I'd like to continue writing about history in different capacity, but I'm not sure if this here is the place for it (though you liked my rant about that Netflix documentary, so I dunno). Maybe I could tell you guys what I did in my thesis, if you're interested? It's exciting stuff (if you like history, I suppose ).
I'm also excited to start up painting my Star Wars - Legion minis again. Light has been really bad in my room over the winter, so I didn't get much done, because my eyes kind of hurt when I painted for longer in the bad light. Not being able to play that with anyone does kind of suck, I'm really itching for a game of that again.
Anyways, I hope you guys and girls out there are doing okay and keeping up the good spirits!

Mount & Blade 2 has finally been released? I must go check it out. I've been learning to play the ukulele recently as something to do. very stereotypical, I know. Encouraged by those who say it is easy to learn but it isn't really. I'm lucky enough to have a garden and the weather has been nice recently what with the more time I have now, so I've been pottering about over the past week there, but now I ran out of the plants from the previous year that needed planting out.

Learning an instrument is cool! I wish I had the talent for music (I always wanted to play either the piano, or the violin), but my guitar lessons as a kid didn't go fantastic. I could play okay-ish, but never great. I just lack the rhythm. Same reason why I can't dance for shit, I suppose. :D Also enjoyed the sun outside in the garden, reading history books mostly and playing with the cat. She's an old lady, so it's great to see her be so lively!

Yeah, what is up with that? Where's the next part? No, seriously, if you want to continue that at some point, let us know. I'm sure we could make it a big, official article so more people see it (we'll talk Wax into it by letting him add his beloved [Editor's Notes]!), and offer you some assistance.

Actually I had kind of forgot, but now that we talk about it I think I'll go back to it. Part of why I stopped was because I was a bit anxious about doing 2011 and 2012 since there's so much Starcraft to cover and I wasn't there, but as soon as we'll hit 2013 it's gonna go more swiftly.
I would love getting the official article treatment! Especially since the possibility of editing in TL are somewhat limited, also if someone would be interested in giving the whole a quick read and point out some obvious thing I forgot/misinterpreted it would be amazing. I'll keep you in the loop with PM if there's some development, hopefully soon.

It's gonna be fine, I once wrote a history of Liquipedia and I wasn't there for the first couple years either

Go for it, man! We could definitely help you out with all those things, and personally I'd be glad to have such an article on the front page - the last one was already deserving of it. So yeah, let me know once you've got something and I'm positive we can arrange all that.

Can confirm, wasn't there for the Roman Empire either or anything else at the time either, my histories have so far turned out fine. :D
