$7,000 WardiTV Spring Championship

Thanks to the recent success on my stream I'm excited to be able to really push out a strong prize pool for our second WardiTV event of the year : the WardiTV Spring Championship. The Spring Championship will feature a $1,500 pre-season event (with $500 of open Qualifiers leading into it) as well as a $5,000 main tournament.





The $1,500 Spring Pre-Season will also feature four $125 qualifiers, each qualifying four players. These sixteen players will be joined by four invites, to create four five man groups which will filter into a RO12 bracket. The top eight of this event also qualify to the $5,000 Spring Championship.

All dates may be changed due to other tournament announcements such as GSL or ESL Pro Tour schedules.

Playoff dates are currently TENTATIVE - waiting for information from another event.



The $5,000 Spring Championship will see the eight top players from WardiTV 2020 invited and joined by eight qualified players from the pre-season. This event will play in two eight player round robin groups over the course of April. Each BO3 series will be worth $40 to the winner and will eventually lead into a 12 player double-elimination bracket. Exact dates will be announced at a later date.

We are also announcing the WardiTV Online Circuit : our attempt to standardize WardiTV events and to help create a storyline for the events we run throughout the year. The WardiTV Online Circuit will help link WardiTV events by qualifying players from smaller events to larger events, as such :

WardiTV Open Cups : one or two day events which are open to all, will generally qualify into a WardiTV Minor Event.

WardiTV Minor Events : $500-$2,000 event, featuring a mix of invited and qualified players. These events will qualify into WardiTV Major Events.

WardiTV Major Events : $2,500+ tournaments. Winning these events will qualify you into the end of year Championship, as well as strong placements qualifying you into the next major event.

With WardiTV 2020 acting as our first major event of 2020 we are also happy to confirm the following Major Tournaments for this year : WardiTV Spring Championship, WardiTV Summer Championship, 2 x TBA Events & TBA End of Year Championship.



For the duration of the WardiTV Spring Championship we are going to be trialling pushing support for these tournament onto our Patreon Page instead of our usual Matcherino Pages. We have always used the Patreon to supplement tournament prize pools and want to try making a clearer outline as to what amount of total support we need to keep running certain size events.
