He was a couple decisions away from getting 4-0'd and was being outplayed pretty hard and then just went 3gate robo for the rest of the series and got random game winning advantages at the start of each game.
A win is a win but Classic has shown much better PvP than Trap overall

Btw it just keeps getting weirder that we don't know if Classic gets to go. I'm starting to think it has already been confirmed that he can go but they're withholding it to give us the excitement of the race here at the ST.

Him winning 3-0 here is no suprise to anyone who watched their ro4 match instead of just looking at the score.

7/8 in Liquibets so far (damn you Maru!)

Classic has been overerrated this year and Trap is constantly underestimated; Trap's PvP has been his worst matchup for years and improved as his general level of play did in 2019. Classic is generally a stronger mirror player and Trap is on a huge losing streak, no surprise for today's results; Trap, however, totally deserved to advance in Code S, these accusations of "luck" are silly.

Trap has definitly improved a lot this year, but no they are not PvP comes down to luck so many times it is definitly possible (still i think trap didn't advance 'undeserved' as luck is still a part of the game).

Yeah luck doesn't exist at all in sc2. Especially PvP.
Seriously just watch the match and then tell me Classic didn't look like the superior PvPer. He was a sloppy base trade away from winning 4-0 and after Trap got a streak of favoured openings
|
Also Classic might just get his 4th GSL by liquipedia standards.
Although that LP page is incredibly inconsistent. It counts herO and Stats' super tournaments but not Classic or Rogue's. It also counts INno/Mvp/Serral's GSLvsTW titles for some reason.

When it comes to offline PvP I would generally trust Classic more; dismissing Trap's reverse sweep as pure luck is just senseless.
Classic looked worse than Dark, who somehow didn't expect him to go for pushes and cheese, in the semifinal he won and quite bad in PvT(except for the last game) when he beat Gumiho, who screwed up big time, to win Super Tournament earlier this year. I don't remember people calling Classic lucky, he was being praised as the best in Korea.
I like Classic, he used to be underrated in the past but he didn't really convince me this year when, curiously, everyone thought highly of him; he looked much better in early 2018, for example.
GSL vs The World are GSL(not Code S) titles, the missing Super Tournament most likely haven't been updated but they definitely should all count.
