Hope you all are well. Its been a struggle this last year or so worth of time. Been down on myself and struggling to stay positive.. Its something that usually happens a time or two every year just this time its not stopped for some time. Things are better its always better after traveling or doing big balloon jobs.
Been very bummed with balloons the loss of a long time weekly restaurant, opened my eyes to how the money from there was subsidizing my balloon costs and Id have to increase my rates (already over what most of the market here can bare) to the point where Id have to change my target market and demo graph..rebranding and a bunch of stuff I am horrid at anyway haha. Coupled with a few possible gaming jobs that fell through last minute.
As with always my blogs are just me kinda unloading a bit no real planning or work behind the blog just a stream of stuff from my head.
Family's doing well Daughter finished up a study abroad program this summer in Italy and will be going into her Jr. year at the University of Arizona 20 years old its nuts I have a kid older than some of you
My son is almost 13 and will be a 7th grader after summer break. And the wife continues to teach at the Uni as well as doing other committees and a fellowship etc. shes always busy and I have her to thank for keeping the family financially stable and providing health care stuff.I did a couple jobs recently which has helped my mood and seems to have helped mostly though some days are harder to do anything...
Did a two day event with 4 other balloon artist of note. Something Ive done for the past 5-6 years. Its a 2 day event for a fast food company , for Arizona its always held in Phx and the last few years at a water park. Working with other high caliber balloon artists is always such a great time and you can learn so much as well.
Right after the 2 day event I flew out to Ohio met up with another balloon artist and drove down to Charleston West Virginia for my second year to help Dizzie Doc build a large balloon sculpture.. Last year was the giant tree this year we created a giant rock wall with balloon people climbing and repelling on the wall. A challenge to say the least over 11k balloons used. It was exhausting and quite the challenge for Doc and I. From rigging to our balloon color count being wayyy off we still are happy with how it turned out. Though pictures never really do justice to balloon art its generally so much better to see in person.
Just wanted to spew a bit it helps letting it out and I always appreciate and look forward to hearing what you all have to say. Your support and words help always!!
I had the idea to make a slideshow and I started playing with it and came up with this but dont feel like doing more work on it yet haha but it needs some for sure. The plan was to come up with something I could send people to market gaming events ... It needs a ton of work though as I said.

Some pics of the finished wall. We did not have the amount of balloons in particular colors so more than half way through our color scheme we realized we had to go with random color in order to have enough balloons to cover the space we wanted...
