After getting abused by toss on the ladder for 10 days (new to the game) getting to see him put down that push that always kills me was inspiring. I am a bad player (diamond 3) so it feels good that someone can beat a P, even if it isn't me.

Dark’s builds and drone/unit timing choices were straight up baffling to me first two games. Playing stupidly all-in and taking a calculated gamble, or going ‘eco cheese’ on the same basis, sure, it’s Starcraft, it’s mindgames etc. Of his own choosing he seemed to do the worst of all worlds, not aggressive enough to do anything, cutting too much eco to actually hold certain pushes. Perhaps he’s mindgaming herO’s tendencies and they have practiced together and know each other very well, it seemed to me that he relied way way too much on herO letting lings through walls, or moving out and getting surrounded, just didn’t feel solid at all. I feel it’s good for the tournament that it’s not all PvP for sure, but I hope Dark brings something a bit better next round.

You can’t just turtle behind your wall That’s sort of what I meant by the worst of halfway houses, he cuts too much eco to be safe against certain things, but doesn’t commit enough to aggression to be aggressive. Perhaps I’m missing something, these guys know what they’re doing. soO made it through the Ro16 with some really calculated hardcore allins. Sure that’s risky in a sense, but I get his game plan there. I’ll maybe rewatch them properly, games 1 and 2 it felt to me he had a bunch of units floating around too early, but not in sufficient number to really be properly aggressive with confidence. ‘I hope herO decides to push out to do a push he doesn’t have to do and I get a surround in open ground’ does not sound a stable plan to me. Weird games for sure, definitely worth a detailed rewatch

Both players just seemed completely out of it.
