Yeah, I kind of get his point about consistency, but the hate was unreasonable. Anyway OG may not ever had the same level of consistency as VP or Liquid, but their names will still be on the Aegis. That's the funny thing for me at least. Also for me their TI run is most impressive because they didn't have the "clear" strategy and star power superiority as Liquid or EG (On TI 7 and TI 5), but it was more pure mental strenght to outlast their opponents, If they make a strong appearence in the minor they will start rolling soon after. After all Europe quals are a mess with only Secret and Liquid looking really strong.

After all Europe quals are a mess with only Secret and Liquid looking really strong. OG did an amazing job during TI. No doubt about it - but that was all there was. Many teams were strong during One event - DC, Ad Finem etc. They managed to get to the finals of a big tournament, but the fact that they didn't win it contributed to the fact that we forgot about them. However they were never world class team - they just managed to play well for a couple of days, got lucky in a couple of games, and the meta suited them for that perticular patch. OG managed to win, and the tourney they won was TI. That will forever be written on the aegis, but thats not enough for me. For example compare that to the legendary status Na'Vi had in the early dota days, or the Year of the Alliance? Noone will ever forget that, and up to this day if you put a poll out - people wills tillt hink that TI 3 was the best TI. So OG will probably miss the honour to defend their title via DPC points, but they will qualify in the qualifiers for sure. But will they be concidered as a team to win the event? Absoluteley no. To be honest their run last year, made TI very intersting with the late game strategies, and i enjoyed their win almost as much as i did TI 7 that Liquid won. Ima fan of NoTail, Jerax is god, and Topson has huge potential, BUT if i have to be objective- OG are just the best of the rest, and thats not enough.

So the rest that OG has done besides TI is completely disregarded? They dominated outside TI from november 15 till TI 7, where they won a total of 4 majors and a fair amount of other tournaments, and if they didn't win them they were still placing around top 4.
So saying that OG hasn't dominated is silly in my opinion.

They may not be the most consistent team, but they are clearly one of the most succesfull team since 3-4 years.

Being an OG fan is a rollercoaster, sometime they seems unstoppable, sometimes they are shaky but the still are able to go against all odds and sometimes they seems like a high mmr pub stack that have no clue on what is happening.
I feel like Topson especially still play like he is in a pub, 90% of the time he is somewhere he shouldn't be, he pull out cause he has godlike mechanics, but his decision making is so poor most of the time.

Anyway OG is stepping up his playstyle, with Alliance lost in the woods, the series win vs NiP puts them as the 3 team in EU. They are improving, and still have the confidence to believe in their own style, for me that is the key trait of the team. Hoping for a crazy series vs Gambit.

On 2nd game against Gambit, they were trying to kill pango over and over again but failed. I wonder if that time spent would be better elsewhere.

whew, I'm glad they haven't peaked too early the game 1 win agst Secret & the wins agst NIP & that draft & convincing wins agst Fnatic with Topson playing VS/TH & still winning had me worried there (think I'll watch the Fnatic games tomorrow) maybe they have weakness agst Pango?

A little more and I'm about to agree with the haters, that Og is the most casual champion in the history of Dota 2.
P.s They lost to Old but Gold (tier- 3 and lost with a score like 2-1), my goodness. I'm just in shock .... Nice try dude

Shit, they couldn've make it through the groups even. With no T1 teams present. Thats concerning at the very best.

OG cant win vs CIS teams since forever.
