My mental state has really only gotten worse since the last time I played so I would likely either remain pretty aloof or just be a detriment to whatever side I end up on.
Yea, assuming I remember this whenever it starts I should prob just obs.
I will totally cave to peer pressure and play though... assuming nobody has issues with me, which I'd totally understand after how I acted last game.

I get to post all the maga nazi Chernobyl mutant shit I want
+ Show Spoiler + I have absolutely no plan to do this.
I played Mafia in person with like 30 사람들 and, they were so much better than the white people I played with and revived the spirit of the game in me. Ofc the white girl was the one who said I was crazy and stupid and a bad strategist for pointing out that the mafia are more inclined to have survival as their goal... 😅
But
I think, due to nostalgia, I may actually be more noteworthy this game. I am encouraged that I am not the stupidest man in the room! There are people who think I might be able to help run huge companies, and I proved that in mafia... wow...!
So I want to do well! Impress 여자는 eh, except she’ll never see it 🤦♂️

A YouTube channel. With solid production values of course.

You’re just trying to cover for the fact that she got you carsick in Beverly Hills dude. You didn’t even get it when she pointed out you were on rodeo drive...
She treated you to a date in the golden triangle, drove you to her parents house, and invited you on a trip abroad.
You think, maybe, there was a little bit of bias going on? Like, maybe you missed some errors?
Proof positive: she forgot the keys to the back gate and you guys had to race around to the front. Which is the whole reason you got carsick.
Yeah I think you glorified her driving style.
But, yes, best person on earth 😄👍🏼 There shall be no other, eh?
Good luck with that m8. You’re younger than she is, poorer than she is, stupider than she is, rude, and forgetful. Yeah, she can be rude too but that doesn’t make for compatibility does it?
Yet she still talks to you.
You get to complain about nothing.
Stop bragging.

I've been reading through past mafia games on here as, like, an introduction to how this usually goes and I have to admit feeling like I'm going to be in way over my head against you veterans. Either that or my n00bie fresh eyes will give me the ultimate advantage.

I think having an unbiased look on things will mostly help, the biggest challenge I think in a large normal especially being new will be keeping up with the thread and being able to figure out who is also drowning the thread, and also trying to discern suboptimal play versus actual mafia play. And the latter is something that several vets have trouble with.
Day 1 has been more problematic as it's easier for mafia to hide in larger games whether they lurk or not, and this community is also averse to policy lynching lurkers so it's also not as easy to (using Palmar's words) to take out the trash easily. A vigilante doesn't always solve all the problems especially in a large normal, but (s)he can help if (s)he so chooses in that aspect.
Good luck!

I suppose I was unintentionally furthering the stereotype of the bad Asian female driver... I really just wanted to put the reference for the joke I was making. In hindsight, context was probably unnecessary.
Personally I tend to be most bothered by drivers who feel like they own the road. You know the people who bob and weave in and out of traffic playing the “me first” game. Who, despite knowing full well their lane is ending, will zoom as far past as many people as possible before merging over.
I find it odd how there is a thread of thought that gender has any bearing on driving ability, when clearly there is no difference between men and woman drivers. I do have to concede that there are cultural differences in driving. One thing I notice is that in EU drivers tend to use car horns as an alert whereas in the US drivers tend to use it as a shout (usually in anger at traffic or telling someone to go).

Proof you've never been to Italy.
The crosswalks there are for decoration, and the horn is a vent for frustration.

And, well... yeeeahhhhhhhhhhh we didn’t exactly drive conservatively.
Also they’ve done studies, there is a difference. The stereotypes didn’t come from thin air.
HOWEVER this woman is a badass so she drives like a professional.

Lithuania, I already find the name depressing. It also has a pretty grim history with the teutonic order and all that.

Oh god I read my games history
lol. I am much better at mafia in person. MUCH better. Man alive.
