Going to be 4-0 finals... zzz... at least it's not PvP though. Dunno how Zest beat TY honestly.

Sounds like a race-swapped comment from last season tbh.

Zest approached the ro4 the right way. Classic was borderline 100% in PvT before today.... How many series of PvT vs top terran was played in this patch? He looked very shaky vs TY in the group already. And he came back with super early aggression, the only way you win in this MU right now. Same in series vs Byun. Classic likes stalker heavy comp in PvT. That could carry over reasonablly well to mid game pre-patch, but it's a joke now if you don't win right there.
PvT was ~44% after the patch.

My hope is that this was secretly what you wanted to do all along, because otherwise, this could get awkward...

If Maru's victories hadn't been as swiftly crushing, he'd have even more 'work' to do.

Hey guys, are Vods up yet and if not, do you know when?

It seems factory units are the key to not letting Protoss do whatever they want while going into the mid-game with an econ lead.

They're on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/273800422). They should also be on Youtube within a few hours most likely.

Maru outmicroed Classic way too hard, he was just on a completely different level, god bless his wrists.
|
Classic underperforming and rekted, then PvP finals avoided. Perfect start to the day.
|
The only game that made it look broken was the third game, where Claassic was clearly ahead after killing so many scvs, and yet Maru's army setup looked impossibly broken, zoning with the liberators and killing with the marauders. Artosis said he needs to go collosus, but Maru will win against collosus, his micro is too good.
It will be interesting to see what Zest comes up with, because he is practicing hard and will find something he will think is effective.

Everyone should watch just that last fight in game 3 and marvel at the beauty.

It is pretty amazing if you are not a Protoss player =P

Even if you're not a huge long-time Maru fan like me, I think you still have to marvel at game 3.

I thought Maru played much more impressively game 4 personally.

Just because they went a bit longer doesn't mean they weren't decided early though. On Acid Plant, TY's build failed so horribly he was just super far behind the entire time. On Darkness Sanctuary, TY's 3rd orbital dies before it's fully saturated.
Still, this whole midgame is a free win for Terran story is bogus. Almost all the Terran wins this GSL after the patch come off the back of Terrans getting early leads with their builds.
