ESPN, fivethirtyeight, Vegas, the majority of fans, etc. etc. Everyone had Warriors as a huge favorite and they won just as a huge favorite would win. Opening odds in Vegas were Warriors -1000. But as I said, this Warriors team is the best team of all-time. It's the greatest shooting team of all-time. Any team in the NBA would be happy to have 1 guy that can put up 20 PPG on 50/40/90 numbers, this team nearly has 3. 2 MVPs in their prime, with 2 other all-stars and an entire roster that knows how to play defense and knows how to play unselfishly. Are you seriously comparing this talent to Love, JR Smith, Jeff Green, and a 37 year old Kyle Korver?

If I came here to post excuses for the Cavs losing I would have done that hours ago or even days ago. All I am doing is trying to educate your ignorant view of how sports odds work. If you think Cavs almost winning games 1 and 3 means they weren't underdogs this series than there is probably nothing I can say to give you a clue so I guess I will give up. I've accepted the Cavs loss weeks ago. On May 16 2018 12:13 BlackJack wrote: As a LeBron fan I'd be worried if there was more on the line. But when your season either ends here or it ends by getting smashed by the Warriors in the finals, it's really not that much different. Not a very bold prediction. It was obvious to anyone paying attention that the Cavs were a huge underdog this series.

Except my boy xoGorwa whose model did output that the Cavs are evenly matched talent-wise with the Warriors. They just lost because of defense and effort. 37 year old Korver is an even match to Klay Thompson on that end, but the Cavs' system cannot draw out his lockdown defending abilities well enough. Also Love would be a DPOY on another team, much like his counterpart Draymond Green.

The Warriors were a huge favorite and to say that's a myth is utterly delusional. Stop being so thick and projecting when you're the real rabid fan/hater here. You even mention defense as a reason the cavs lost... which everyone saw coming.

i never said they were even, in fact it said specifically "not even" and i didnt discuss any model. in fact i said lebron's system is a dud. learn to read. if you reply reply to this because this because this is my point: on paper and in theory cavs are underdogs but its is much closer than it seems and in practice game wise cavs had certain winnable opportunities that they lost not because of disadvantage in talent but errors in defense assignments and rotations and effort.

Just repeating that without backing it up will not make us believe you more. Two close losses in a sweep don't mean there wasn't a vast gap between the 2 teams... It could have went 4-2 and we would still have called that Cavaliers team trash. It went 4-1 last year with a much better Cavs team, and they were still way disadvantaged back then.

cavs playing well and players performing as expected almost won them games 1 adn 3. its not as if they arre hopeless. its 4-0 now, but they could win. and this is related to why i said running the offense only through lebron is bad. they dont get rhythm and when he fails, they all fail but this another topic. we can also discuss this if you want to. of course you are familiar with me. i am the one who always break up your argument with jimmyraynor when i bring up actual stats and analysis and he goes in hiding. look. im a numbers guy and i want to talk in black and white. you accuse me of annoyoing stats. cite them and i will clobber you head with stats too. you edit your post now, but i have explained about "closer than what people think" and lebrons legacy. again. lets debate facts with facts.

With that said, I saw a preview on The Jump and, for those few minutes at least, it was too much Kobe praising Kobe for my taste the Kobe "Detail" critique of Derozan included Kobe explaining how Derozan should've passed the ball deep into the interior of the defense to Ibaka who then had a 3-pronged decision making process to go through while having 4 defenders within 3 feet of him. Ibaka then had an option to pass to JV who then might end up passing it back to Ibaka. In a video game with JV and Ibaka's ball handling and passing cranked up to 95 that might work. it sounded and looked really cool though. especially with all the graphics. Kobe's voice is awesome. Kobe has enough expensive suits. He is certainly tall enough. His voice is amazing. He'd make a great anchorman for The ABC 11 PM News. Walter Cronkite move over.

I count 9 players from this team who won a championship elsewhere.
