Read on for previous month's SC2 streaming statistics!
Highlights
- Destiny's comeback seems to have been a one-off, and the top 10 is mostly back to normal. There's another Korean streamer at #10 - I really have to find another font if they keep doing this well.
- Despite the GSL Super Tournament running this month, NationWars took the top spots, reaching 35k in its finals - not quite as much as IEM the previous month but nothing to scoff at.
- The overall trend took a bit of a dive, but compared to a year ago SC2 is still doing quite well. Viewers dropped around this time last year too, so it's likely that this is just a seasonal thing, with the winter months usually seeing a few big tournaments and holidays that drive views.
- Deltas for event streams are fixed now, thanks to the eagle-eyed yubo56 in the previous thread
- As always, suggestions and requests are welcome!
Huh? What's this? I run Fuzic - which collects statistics and rankings of StarCraft II live streams - and these threads are a summary of the viewer numbers for the past month.
Data is sourced from fuzic, and additional up-to-date stats may be found there. But in these threads - which I will try to post at the beginning of every month - there will be a monthly summary so you can get a quick overview of that month's viewer numbers.
Inclusion criteria The rankings list any stream that is reported on by the APIs of the various streaming services (Twitch, Azubu, etc). I have no way of verifying to what extent someone's viewers are legitimate, and therefore will not independently ban someone from the rankings. Please do not start a(nother) discussion about this in this thread.
The lists "VxH", or "hours viewed" is the average amount of viewers multiplied by the amount of hours the streamer has streamed during that month. Basically, if for each viewer you count the amount of hours they watched the stream during the month, and add them up, you get this number. The list is sorted by this metric, as it gives a good impression of the streamer's activity through the month.
You can click the links below the charts for additional stats and a list you can sort by whichever metric you prefer.

Wow I am not used to seeing my name on a major thread like this
Nice data as always, thanks!

"StarcraftzhTW" shouldn't be under player streams since it's just Taiwanese WCS coverage.
Also how do you distinguish caster streams from player streams when a player uses their own channel to cover an event such as Olimoleague. Do you not count those hours?

If Scarlett keeps up her recent schedule she's gonna rocket up into those rankings next month.

The first ranking - player streams - contains all streams not explicitly marked as a 'caster stream', and only counts the streaming sessions that are not covering an event. So if Scarlett is playing in an Olimoleague tournament, and uses her stream to broadcast her games, that part of the session doesn't count for the ranking in this thread. The only caveat here is that the system needs to know about her doing so; so if her stream isn't linked to the event in the TL sidebar, or otherwise, it'd still count as a 'normal' stream.

Edit> he's obviously beatable, I mean I want to watch him

Shoutouts to Fuzic for existing. Its such a valuable service for the scene.
I'm very happy for Gametime. I think he's a streamer who can totally rise to the top of the SC2 section on twitch. Hopefully with time we can see it happen! A skilled zerg pro player with a killer stream personality!

It would be nice to know how much these streamers earn, roughly (with donations and what not that will be impossible, sure, but I was thinking earnings from the actual stream - how much does a streamer earn for having 1k viewers every hour for example?)
Sorry for the noob question, but I haven't found the answer to twitch hourly / audience payrate via simple googling :/
