Welcome to this month's top streamers list! Sorry for the delay - holidays and all that...
Huh? What's this? I run Fuzic - which collects statistics and rankings of StarCraft II live streams - and these threads are a summary of the viewer numbers for the past month. They are a continuation of Conti's threads. Check previous month's thread for more info on the differences between these threads and Conti's.
Data is sourced from fuzic, and additional up-to-date stats may be found there. But in these threads - which I will try to post at the beginning of every month - there will be a monthly summary so you can get a quick overview of that month's viewer numbers.
Highlights
- Big newcomer and almost ending Winter's reign is UltraGamer500,
Stephen Hawking's stream a stream that replays recorded games from other streamers, plays random voice-generated comments over them, and has a viewership/chat channel that seems to consist mostly of (view)bots. Make of that what you will...
- DreamHack Valencia did well this month, topping at 44k viewers during the match between Nercho and MarineLorD.
- TotalBiscuit clearly hasn't been forgotten by the StarCraft community, scoring almost 32k viewers during the comeback of ShoutCraft. Here's hoping for more!
- As always, suggestions and requests are welcome!
Inclusion criteria or: why are Winter (and UltraGamer500) in the list‽ The rankings list any stream that is reported on by the APIs of the various streaming services (Twitch, Azubu, etc). I have no way of verifying to what extent someone's viewers are legitimate, and therefore will not independently ban someone from the rankings. Please do not start (another) discussion about this in this thread.
The lists "VxH" is the average amount of viewers multiplied by the amount of hours the streamer has streamed during that month. The list is sorted by this metric, as it gives a good impression of the streamer's activity through the month.
You can click the links below the charts for additional stats and a list you can sort by whichever metric you prefer.
Note that some matches may be missing: this part is reliant on whether the matches were listed in TL's calendar

top 2: Winter ans ultragamer
nice to see that Shoutcraft pulled such big numbers in
|
Esl stream could be so much better if they can play some of the newer matches imo.
|
TLO vs Stephano wasn't exactly top 5 matches, but people were on the Stephano hype train, so it got a lot of viewers, was very nice to see.

Absolutely excited to see Ultragamer's completely legit career take off so suddenly.

EDIT: Take these numbers with a grain of salt - I haven't really checked their accuracy

If you ever feel lonesome: Just visit Ultragamer Stream and chat with some friendly bots

Why does it say "teamless" on TRUE's profile?

Where are you pulling those star1 numbers from? They look way too low.

If there is a streaming service that doesn't have an API, or that I don't know of, or if a lot of streams stream without putting themselves under the "Starcraft 1" category, then they wouldn't be included. I don't think that is the case, but it could be, which is also why I haven't really been advertising the SC1 numbers - I'd need to be more confident about their accuracy first.

They aren't accurate as Flash for example pulls in a regular amount of viewers around 4-7k ("peak"), bisu often hits regular numbers around 2-4k as well.

Brood war.

I was under the impression that Twitch had figured out how to shut down botters. Apparently one of the websites said that they can't function anymore? Is there another service that's still up? I plead ignorance, I don't know that much about it honestly.

Is this on afreeca.com?

MarineLorD is good for business.

For somebody who didn't know, Ultragamer is PatchToss. The purpose of his streaming is to make fun of Winter's botting and Bronze challenge and Avilo's stream/hack cheating.

I think everyone gets the meaning of it, though I don't think it's funny.
