I was told Edwin VanCleef is 5/5+ his bonus. 5/1. I think. no, he starts at +5/+5 and gains +2/+2 for each card played On April 16 2017 23:34 Madars wrote: What happens if I play Thistle Tea and draw Ambush one that opponent has placed into my deck with Beneath the Grounds? Two more ambush cards are put in your hand, they're 0 mana spells that effectively do nothing. If you're playing hunter I'd say 100% craft it otherwise the meta changes a lot depending on your rank but murloc paladin is definitely a decent part of the meta, aggro druid occasionally runs the Finja package, and token shaman plays the totem that spawns murlocs too so it's definitely a viable tech card whether this adds up to enough of your match ups to make it worth crafting is a bit hard to say though just due to how much the meta varies depending on where you are on the ladder.

Does "new packs" means only packs from new expansion? Is there a reason not to open packs now and wait for expansion as not to get duplicate legendaries? I got Nozdormu disenchanted it then got another, and another now, I disenchanted one and still have two copies of Nozdormu, feels bad. Same with opening packs of Old Gods, bought 230 packs, got 5 legendaries of 3 copies of Deathwing, Dragonlord.

It will retroactively apply to previous sets as well so yes waiting to open packs should prevent duplicate legendaries.

The Lich King granted me Frostmourne! I use it to kill 3 different horsemen from the Paladin's hero power. I use Shadow Madness on the fourth horseman. Do I win?

Edit: apparently horsemen are chosen randomly. But "destroy the opponent" is written on the hero power, so you would need to copy the hero power to win.

I also would lose though because Frostmourne has destroyed 3 of the horsemen and I know you need all 4 alive at once

I just started playing some Hearthstone over the past few days and this is my first time switching from the standard TL forum to LiquidHearth ^^ Some noob questions about the game: 1. During dungeon runs yesterday, I noticed that all my opponents (bosses) were not playable characters and that they had special hero powers that were different than the default hero powers... like, for example, Hunter's Call (for 3 mana, ?permanently? reduce the cost of cards in your hand by 1 mana). Are these hero powers unlockable in the future? Will I ever get to use them? Or are they just special boss ones that appear in battles but wouldn't be available for me as a player? 2. What's the fastest way to win additional packs of cards through playing the game (i.e., as opposed to just spending a ton of money and buying them)? 3. Is there an actual meta, with certain classes seen as stronger and weaker whenever new card editions come out? What would be a solid class to start with, as I eventually move from grinding out level 10 with each class against computers to playing against actual people? I come from a MtG and Duelyst background, so fortunately I'm familiar with a lot of the card game rules and abilities, and I appreciate how these games are typically less than 10 minutes long lol. Thanks in advance, and I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future

They're just special boss ones. There are a few hero powers beyond the original 9 you can use, though they require you to put certain cards in your deck. Playing any hero card, Justicar Trueheart, Lord Jaraxxus, or Majordomo Executus will change your hero power to a different one than the original 9. 2. What's the fastest way to win additional packs of cards through playing the game (i.e., as opposed to just spending a ton of money and buying them)? There's not any certain answer, but if you are good enough, arena is the most efficient way to get packs, although that still requires you to be spending gold). If you don't play arena, unfortunately the best way is just to complete the highest gold quests - you receive one daily - and win up to 30 constructed/tavern brawl games (you get 10 gold per 3 wins, up to a maximum of 100 gold) daily. 3. Is there an actual meta, with certain classes seen as stronger and weaker whenever new card editions come out? What would be a solid class to start with, as I eventually move from grinding out level 10 with each class against computers to playing against actual people? Yup, although the newest expansion just came out so there's still a lot of uncertainty as to which classes are strongest right now. Before this expansion they were Druid, Priest, Rogue, and arguably Paladin and Warlock. AFAIK those top 3 are still strong contenders. A good resource for this is Vicious Syndicate. Depending on how much arcane dust / gold you have, whatever deck you start out with might vary. Some of the cheapest decks pre-expansion were Midrange Hunter and Secret Mage, which run few to no legendaries and only a couple of epic cards. Mage is probably a better choice because their core set of basic / classic common cards is pretty strong and they usually have a deck somewhere in the meta. Plus the Secret Mage build got some pretty good cards this expansion, although that includes a legendary.
