I hope she'll just pass out or something like the cook in this ch. but keep her grudge against them.

she tried to cut Luffy in half, you can see that he moved too fast for her and he used his arm to jump over the candy she then ask Peros to remove the candy so she can chase after Luffy
also, she's called Amande (one of Big Mom daughters) and we saw her multiple times before

Man Gear 4 is super lame.
Also I love how this fight is moving in between dimensions. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Do you think Sanji would poison the cake, or is he too much of a foodie?
|
Sanji would never ever poison or ruin food in any way.

I agree about Gear 4 being lame af. Its about time for Luffy develops a style that doesnt have a time limit.
I rather him going full body Haki like Vergo than Gear 4.

Luffy needs gimmick techniques with time limits... He is younger than anyone else on the grandline. How do you expect him to be stronger than others without a senseless powerup that came from nowhere?

How do you expect him to be stronger than others without a senseless powerup that came from nowhere? Age isn't really too much of an issue, IMO. If you recall, Ace was 3 years older than Luffy (so 1 year older than Luffy is now) and was a Yonko commander that didn't need to rely on bullshit to be powerful.
My major issue with G4 is that it looks retarded, eliminates the need for other gears, and has this tiny ass time limit which renders Luffy useless for way too long. Gear 3 kind of had a similar affect back in the day until Luffy learned to use it better. Now I'm worried that once Luffy solves the time limit issue (or at least the recovery issue) that every single fight from now on will literally be Luffy bouncing around like and idiot and throwing the same exact punch every time. No more Gear 2, or 3, no more creativity, no more nuance besides the cannon punch.

What creativity or nuance? G2 was 'now ima do what I normally do but faster' And G3 was 'now ima do what I normally do but bigger.'

In one year Luffy will be as strong or stronger than Ace was without his gears. So yes, age does matter...

I meant it as an example of a young character being powerful. Age doesn't really equate to power at all. Brook is like ~100 and Zoro is a far better swordsman. Shanks is 39 and on part with Big Mom and Whitebeard which is/are 60-70.
We're not going to have to wait a year for Luffy to work his way up the ranks. The first half of the manga took place over ~6 months or so and Luffy went from fighting small fry to defeating Shichibukai. And ther wasn't a single bullshit gimmick back in the day. Gear 2 could be considered a BS powerup but it didn't really change the dynamics of any of the fights since it just gave a speed boost. Gear 2 enhanced combat whereas Gear 4 overrides everything else.

Something I liked about Naruto pre-timeskip was that characters had to deal with different things other characters throw at them and react accordingly. Now I don't think that fights are really a focus/well planned out in OP, but I'm not against giving the MC more options to play around with.

But its just as nuanced and creative as G2 or G3, so I don't understand the issue there.

It feels real artificial, yes. And to be honest, that someone hasn't just destroyed Luffy due to that drawback yet is kind of silly.
