Sanji is about to get his spotlight against Oven.
God pls no, its time for Luffy to go againt Yonkous already, theres still Kaido, BB, WG etc. Gear 4 is already ridiculous, i dont want this to end on gear 10. And as sad as i will be _after_ OP ends i still want it to end at some time during my lifetime...I want to get to the meat of the story already.
There are still long way to beat a Yonkou all alone. Luffy couldnt have beat Doflamingo without Law, or Cracker without Nami.
Katakuri is levels above of those characters so Luffy shouldnt beat him unless he gets huge power up like in CP9 arc.
doflamingo and cracker are precisely why luffy needs to beat karakuri here. hes slowly nearing sanji levels of helpless. atm only zoro is the sh member to satisfyingly beat a decent opponent 1v1 in the new world
what? Zoro's opponent was weak as hell.. I rate Hody in the ocean stronger than Pica. None of the SH members has done anything impressive 1v1 so far imo
pica was definently way stronger then Hody, hody in the ocean was only able to be a threat because Luffy cant fight in the ocean
Pica was definitely really powerful. The guy's ability let him be a giant that would have dwarfed even Oars, not to mention the lengths it took to actually defeat him. Honestly they could have probably beaten Hody in the water even pre-time skip. Or at least the non-Devil Fruit users.
I miss the days when each of the SH crew had to fight an opponent 1v1.. it's always been awesome fights. When I think about it for the last 2 arcs all they have been doing is running away
no need to beat katakuri in pure power, the best way would be with luffy finding a way to force katakuri to land on his back, he(katakuri) will get mad and couldn't focus on its observation haki, and luffy will finish him with gear 4th

I don't think the guy places any pride on falling to his back. The way I interpreted it, that was just a crazy myth that people made up since he seems like such a disciplined person. This is obviously shattered with him binging on donuts.

yeah would probably make him flip his shit more to steal his scarf than to put him on his back

he uses his head to avoid getting on his back, that's a big deal for him - he cares a lot about his image nonetheless (the same reason he didn't want to be seen when eating)

Or maybe using his head to get back up like that was just the most effective recovery method.

LOL. This is how luffy is going to beat Katakuri:
"Hey donut boy, what's that scar on your face? Oh wait that's your mouth!"

And then bam, score a few hits, rinse and repeat.
Haha, I can actually see this happening. This might be the most plausible theory of beating Katakuri, that I have heard so far.
Is Buggy the only person strong enough to ever damage the straw hat?
Blown up by Caesar Clown, Engulfed in lightning by Enel, magmad on the rest of the body by Akainu, frozen by Aokiji, basically killed twice by Crocodile, pummeled by Katakuri, swallowed by Magellan's hydras
Damn, that clip brought back nostalgia I didn't know I had. Back when One Piece was a lot more slice of life than epic fantasy. The anime was top-top tier.

If it wasn't such a colossal undertaking, and I actually didn't have a million other things in my backlog I should watch first, I'd totally rewatch some early OP.

Sometimes I'll be like "You know what, I should rewatch early One Pie-nahhhh, who am I kidding, thats a lot of episodes."
