After a grueling nine match regular season that saw  Dear finish in third place at 6-3, the only Zerg remaining in the tournament,  Dark, fourth place after the Round Robin, faced off against the first of three Protoss standing between him and a second SSL championship.
Dear's first oracle only killed three drones to start the series, but he added another stargate and killed 17 more with five additional oracles and a void ray. Dark tried to answer with hydralisks and infestors, but Dear's chargelots trampled over him despite some sublime fungals.
Dear went for the same build in game two, killing 11 drones and five queens this time. He stayed a base ahead of Dark, sitting on five with 83 workers, before dealing the final blow with blink stalkers.
Dear went for triple stargate on Ascension to Aiur, but Dark defended with almost no losses before crashing into Dear's fourth with hydra/ling/bane. Dear held the first wave, but the second killed the base and 30 workers, and the third gave Dark his first win of the series.
Dark's lack of spores meant he lost eight workers to Dear's proxy oracles, but he managed to scout Dear's charge/archon timing after killing Dear's cybernetics core with lings and breaking into Dear’s main. He made roaches in time, easily held the push and evened the match.
Dear opted for a dark templar opening on Whirlwind, but Dark nipped it in the bud with a roach/ling attack that depowered Dear’s gates and killed every worker in his natural before flooding into Dear’s main to go up 3-2.
Dark opened game six with a lair before his third for roaches and swarmhosts. Dear replied with disruptors, but was pinned back with locusts as Dark sniped his natural, fourth and third. Barely mining, Dear tapped out, setting up a meeting between Dark and Classic in the semifinal.

Dark is much better, but oracle abuse made me a little scared.
It reminds me rush ultra early lotv , only some terrans managed to counter it , and it wasn't really glorious.

I liked coming here but since I mainly watch VODs, these blatant spoiler titles make me avoid this website these days...

Dark is just on fire right now. Was hoping for a Dear victory, but Dark just seemed to be in complete control.

Man, why did Dear continued to build disruptors agains swarmhosts? like wtf? you have robo bay just add 2nd robo and go for colossus. I was really shocked by this decision, what's the point?

Dark made adjustement, adding way more queen for example I think.

+1 to this, I know Revelation is going to be nerfed later on in the year but the dev team could probably stand to lower the damage a bit on them in their current incarnation, it's very powerful on ladder as well.

i agree with dark vs classic 4:1 but i guess the stats dark series will be more closer, 3:3 into bullshit cheese in game 7

Dark is a genius!
Matches 4-6 are part aggression, part trickery. Watching him, Rogue, and Inno is always a treat. Too bad there are no protoss in LOTV thats up in their level (yet).
