I had a couple really trivial, minor, mechanical ideas for ZvT. I was wondering about hotkeying a control group of 2-3 overlords so you could remove/add an overlord to your muta flock without having to change screens. Of course this has the disadvantage of using up a control group but at the stage of the game when 11 mutas pop I always have hotkey space. Also, I was thinking that perhaps saving the camera location of your 3rd and hotkeying a drone ahead of time so when you are muta harassing you can send that drone to the 3rd location without having to change screens. This also makes building a hatchery for your 3rd quicker and easier.
In a standard 3 hatch muta build there is a lot to do when your 11 mutas pop: harass, build den, build queen's nest, take a 3rd and was thinking that these might make it easier to focus on your mutas. I was also thinking that perhaps you could hotkey 3 drones to a single group so you could quickly select and build the hydra den, queens nest, and 3rd hatchery. I have low apm, like 150-200, and so anything that can reduce the mechanical demands or make things easier for me helps a lot.
In the video I have overlord speed and keep them close to my mutas in order to do multiple demonstrations but obviously in a real game they would be in the corner of my base and would probably not have speed upgraded. Also, you only need a group of 2 overlords because by the time you need to switch overlords the other one will be back in your base. I use 3 overlords in a group because it's easier for me to keep track of which overlord I need to switch to.
just fyi i make my 4th hatch (at my 3rd, the opposite main from the terran on FS) on my 33rd drone (before your spire has completed). if you're opening with a 12 hatch 13 pool 13 hatch 12 gas like zero and effort do, you will have enough minerals/gas to properly expand.. then, after you spend your 900 gas on mutas, you want your hydra den. at 50% on the den, you want to make your evo. then get lurker aspect first, then carapace. then, with your first 2 larva at your 3rd, make 2 hydras for lurkers for the ramp. i also tend to get a very fast 5th hatch at my 3rd to help defend/drone it since korean terrans can be super aggressive about trying to isolate the base prior to nydus tech.
edit not sure about the ovie idea, i always keep lings on 2/3/4 so i might get confused with the unnecessary control group in some situations. i always just keep my "micro" overlords at the very corner of FS near my main, then reset them everytime they get out of the main's highground
second edit my 3 hatch zvt muta opener (not MINE per-se, the one that most pro kr zergs use):
9ovie 12 hatch 13 pool 13 hatch 12 extractor 16 ling 16 ovie (from main's larva) lair at 100 gas ling speed at next 100 gas (natural extractor at the same time) 24 ovie (from my 3rd hatch's larva pool) spire at lair completion 33 3 overlords (one from EACH HATCH's larva pool to maintain optimal larva generation) send last drone out to expand at the opposite main from your opponent after it hatches from main's larva 4th base at 33 32 9 mutas 50 supply lurker den then 1 overlord 2 drones evo at 50% den send drone to 3rd for 5th hatch lurker aspect +1 ground carapace 2 hydras at 3rd 10th and 11th muta 2 to 5 hydras at main depending on success of muta harass queen nest transition to hive tech

You have to understand the gain from doing that, and that is very much zero gain. Increasing your average apm even by 10-20 would net you far better results than any gain you might have gotten doing all the binding.
It's a very romantic concept about overdoing a simple thing, it should take you half a second to switch screens, and it's meaningless on every level of play, at the same time the additional management is simply not needed.
Keep it simple. If players at the top aren't using it, you are probably overthinking it.
Players below absolute top tend to overthink stuff like that. You probably waste a lot more time doing things on low apm, than you can actually gain from binding overlords or drones.
It's far easier to learn a quick base->select->return while playing games, than doing what you suggest to increase performance.
There's even no need to switch overlords, get 2 lings, put one behind minerals, block with the other. Now you have a nice grouping unit that won't move.

the ol grouping maybe...but i see no loss from hotkeying a drone early game when you have extra time in order to make sending a drone to 3rd/making 3rd hatchery easier. btw, from reading ur posts...u are a very negative person. you can convey the same message without coming off quite as douchey...and nobody likes being around people who are overly negative.
you send the drone to the third before your mutas are even finished with standard 3h muta so it doesn't really matter, plus you'd rather select a drone that just returned minerals. hotkeying the drone to build the hatch is good but everyone does that.
the one useful, underused "trick" I've seen from Effort is to rally 3 hatches to the ramp of the 3rd base for your 3 hydras. during the muta harass it can be difficult to go back to your base and do stuff so having them move them straight away is pretty useful, and re-rally when they spawn.
also a lot of people don't consider that generally the main has more mineral patches than the natural, so you should drag select drones at each base constantly to check you have more drones in the main than the natural.
ez, if you really want to focus on the wrong things =]
We'll always have negativity when there's opposition to someone's idea. I always say, play it, check it, then we can discuss live examples. The gain you try to achive is meaningless.
You also forget, that when you switch overlords with bind, the previous overlord is still moving in the direction of last click. It actually will make you control more units than less in the end.

I call it really minor ideas because I understand that it is very inconsequential. Is there anywhere in my post where I say it is important to focus on this? There is a reason I made it a blog and didn't put it in the strategy section. Like i said before, you can express the same message without being so hyper negative / douchey. In 2 posts you have said 3 times that this stuff is "meaningless" or "useless". The first time is acceptable but when you say it the 2nd or 3rd time...especially when there is no disagreement from me.... you are being a straight douchebag...or maybe you always speak with such redundancy...and this is a real life tip because you will have a hard time making friends / finding spouse if you are always this negative.

I have no idea what you mean by this. Show me in the vid what you mean please. I have low apm and I can switch overlords faster this way than I can the standard way.
