The movie is with Jake Gyllenhaal, didn't watch that movie yet because it's a video game one but the other movies with Jake are usually great Note that when I say "most critical acclaim", it's in comparison to other video game based movies. In the grand scheme of movies all of these were considered at best "Meh" I think. Oh yeah i figured as much. So guys what's the best movie you have seen the last few weeks/days (depending on how much you watch)? In a few months it'll be "Kimi no Na Wa." I wanna watch that one as well tbh, in general anime movies tend to be way better. I loved spirited away even though you could argue it's a family movie On January 21 2017 00:05 Ej_ wrote: Show nested quote + On January 21 2017 00:04 The_Red_Viper wrote: On January 21 2017 00:02 Elentos wrote: On January 21 2017 00:00 The_Red_Viper wrote: On January 20 2017 23:57 Elentos wrote: According to Wikipedia, the video game based movies with the most critical acclaim of all time are: Mortal Kombat Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Prince of Persia the game was amazing. So guys what's the best movie you have seen the last few weeks/days (depending on how much you watch)? Applesauce (2015) Looks interesting. Horror comedies are the best comedies I just watched "the lobster" and while it is extremely strange i liked it quite a bit. Not for everyone though

A movie that does not hold any meaning on its own just doesn't seem like a very good plan for a movie to me

It made absolutely zero sense and only towards the end of the first occurrence I realized that all of the people are actually 3D renderings. For some reason I remember that one of the movies had a post-credits scene, advertised in the subtitles, where some character was just driving through a nice landscape and it was supposedly a big deal, again making exactly zero sense. A movie that does not hold any meaning on its own just doesn't seem like a very good plan for a movie to me I'm sure that if you knew the story going in, it'd make more sense. Which ruins a lot of the experience.
