I completely agree with you, disruptors are one of the best units in the game. They take skill to use well and create amazing moments in the game.
Without them pvp is matter of massing one more colossus or one more immortal and then a moving with your guardian shield.
COMPLETELY different than swarm hosts... not even remotely close to a unit you burrow and forget about.

Entertaining...a bit yeah, but I feel it's a big gimmick that ends up in half hour matches of stalker disruptor ping pong where a few good shots decide it. A single tiny mistake or lack of focus at the right place can lose you the entire army. I just think a unit that can instantly kill so many other units in one shot from a distance is not very good design.

Get some perspective I acknowledge he played well but he won the tournament almost solely with his pvp. so? Zest won 2014 KeSPA Cup playing only PvP, no one seemed to bitch about him, Neeb at least played another matchup Lol people bitch about race matchups all the time. It is actually weird how little whining there was about all of Neeb's PvPs

This unit has zero strategic value and just leads to random, tiresome games both for both players and viewers alike. I hate them with all my might. you're free to hate them, but if they were truly random then Neeb's 4-0 over Trap, 3-1 over Stats, and 2-0 over Zest would all be incredibly unlikely Hmmm I said they were random but there is little denying (I only catched the Apotheosis game) that at least Trap's blink disruptor control was abysmal while Neeb's was excellent. Give us two equally skilled blink disruptor players and yes, I think the game will be random as fuck. To sum up my thoughts : disruptors are intrinsically bad and random design-wise but Neeb was a lot better at using them than his KR opponents, probably because the KR meta isn't as disruptor heavy.

I doubt it as that was into his third tournament win of the year yes but it was also during the blink-era so people were quick to devalue his results

Thanks to everyone on the LR. It doubled the already insane amounts of hype.

You're too many to be listed, but it's ok, don't you cry, you can still catch up and watch the vods. I watched. Need plays very well. It is PvP though, and the map pool ffavors his race hard. And Neeb has, in my opinion, not been truely tested in this run. And I still think WCS16 killed KR scene.

Neeb is like David Hasslehoff, but instead of uniting Germany he united the sc2 scene by going to Korea and showing that there is no need for a region lock.

I am a Korean elitist and I am not feeling bad :o. Even tho I'm more on the boat of "kr terrans are the most skilled sc2 players" :o.
Gratz Neeb :D

I'm slowly regaining some passion atm -even played a game yesterday !-, I hope I'll be excited for Blizzcon and next year.

I am happy for Neeb, I am happy for the huge success of Trap getting second, but disruptor ping pong was the reason, why I completely stopped watching foreigner PvP. The Korean meta was somehow OK as they usually did not do the stupid random ping pong wars ... But here, it was this ping pong every game. Really disappointed.

Congrats to Neeb. That was an amazing achievement. Getting really hyped up for Global Playoffs now.
