As I reflect upon the impact the first Doom had on me..
It was the first game during those early years, when the computer ( PC )
was still in the incipient stage of development.
The mouse was there too, that peripheral hardware unit we used to navigate.
And incidentally the first person I saw playing doom was using the mouse..
It was unquestionably the shareware version of doom ( thus all ongoings contained within the knee deep in the dead episode )
They weren't using the mouse in a professional manner. They were repeatedly rubbing the mouse against the mousepad, to move the player through the environment..
and some experienced computer personage was guiding them through the second level..
I wanted to know.. Or rather I was wondering is there a link, a connection between Doom and StarCraft.
StarCraft there is denotative of the ENTIRE starcraft.. Original, brood war, to Lord of the Void...
Is there a correlative interest between both the games?
There might be a bridge, or a rift dividing the two games.
There is marine being the front-line of defense in any terran colony.
while in doom the marine is the singular hero.
The music in doom was this moody repetitive soundtrack..
in starcraft the soundtrack is demi-epic
And obviously the gameplay..
Did or does anyone here still devote attention to that game?
or did they both originate from opposing ( or disparate ) areas of interest..
