But tis better than drinking alone An old friend (like seriously old, like summer before first grade old(and not exactly a friend)) moved down to the states so his family dropped by for a few days and we chilled, talked and played some old ps games for the hell of it (my xbox has been busted for a while and my wiimotes were out of bateries, only game on my comp is starcraft which he really didnt feel like playing) which got me all nostalgic. He also showed me some Billy Joel music which I thought was all crap except Piano Man anyway that got me thinking... I'm a fucking loner I'm a teenager going through puberty I should have some fucking friends but I dont. I have people who I talk to and some people that I hang out with but they arent really friends. I dont make plans with them, I dont really care about them and if god were to ship them to England to go to some other school and I never saw them again, I wouldnt really give a shit. Hell, come to think of it I never had any real friends I'm a fucking loner fuck it :/ /bitchy rant

Sounds like you need some friends...
I'm not really sure on what you could do to be honest. I was a pretty big loser in like grade 7-9, but I always had a couple really good friends. So I guess I was ok in that aspect. Not sure on what you could do really.

I'll be your friend :D
But in all honesty, just go out, try some sports, talk with people during breaks, do stuff and stay active.

You know why Zerglings hatch in twos? Because everybody needs a friend.
Why did Bob Ross always draw tree's in at least twos? Because everybody needs a friend.
A friend doesn't have to be some amazing person you're absolutely infatuated with, that you can tell anything. It just has to be someone you're with so you're not alone. Try to be grateful for the friends you do have. You may feel like they're completely interchangeable, replaceable, unattached, but if you didn't have any at all things would be worse.
Maybe that sounds like bullshit, but sometimes you really just have to appreciate life for what it is, and not what you wish it was. No one's living a fairy tale, but a lot of people can still keep their heads up.

don't worry about it
your not a loser. actually in my experience, solitude will make you mentally strong, and allow you to actually do some introspection that more social people don't really have time for.
most people seek friends because of their own weakness anyways. alot of people just can't stand being alone with their thoughts, because they can't handle it.
as for not caring about people, that will probably change with time.
as you said, you're going through puberty, so right now in your life is a time of change, i wouldn't be worried about any of this, just try to be happy and focus on accomplishing whatever you want to accomplish.

seriously though @ op, yeah I'm the same as you but for me I have realised it is just because I am an elitist. So while I yeah, do have a few friends that come round to mine every few months, who I like, I don't have anyone really close to me where I live because I require friends to have such a good sense of humour/ level of intelligence I immediately discard 99% of all people I meet ><.

hilarious picture
and HamerD it's true but that is a pretty depressing/egotistical way to put it.
I try to think of it as "I'm too impatient to deal with mass bullshit"
and most people spew out alot of bullshit

that's because you are missing out on something
just wait till you get to college i guarantee you make friends there
can be tough in high school, everyone is retarded

...I almost experience the same thing... i have friends, but... i just don't really hang out that much... too strict, stupid parents...

Sounds like sour grapes to me. You're not friends with many people, so they must all not be worth being friends with. Sure there are some people who are outright repulsive, but there are plenty of people you're acquaintances with that could just as easily be your friend if you ever went to a movie with them, or helped them with a problem.
The phrase "No man is an island," comes to mind. If you like to be alone, that's fine. If you don't find you meet many people that are interesting to talk to, that's fine too. But don't isolate yourself, because you will want help eventually.
So while I yeah, do have a few friends that come round to mine every few months, who I like, I don't have anyone really close to me where I live because I require friends to have such a good sense of humour/ level of intelligence I immediately discard 99% of all people I meet ><. Do you have like... no introspection? How can you feel too good for 99% of everyone you meet, without actually having some sort of mental disorder. TBH, I think you're lying to yourself.

Judging people on your first impression of their intelligence eh? It'd be a shame to remind you that when I first noticed you on this forum it was when you were passionately arguing something which could not be further from the truth on a subject you knew absolutely nothing about. Since then you've made the glorious "but he wasn't a hacker" post in the 'localhost confesses to using hack' blog. It seems you have a habit of genuinely believing black is white. I guess what I'm trying to say here is judge not lest you be judged.
That said, I don't have much time for most people I meet. I have a dozen or so really good friends who I've met over the years and I'm fortunate enough to live within walking distance of half of them. Between them, they easily meet my need for intellectual stimulation, emotional support and general companionship. That and they drive me places which is awesome.

I know what you mean, my parents told me if you have 1 or 2 good friends with you during your whole life, then they are your true friends. I heard alot of stories of those people who are popular in high school turn out to be nothing after college.
