Just transferred to Columbia U in NYC this past spring, after taking a year off.
While I was @ Binghamton U, upstate NY, I had loads of free time on my hands. It was then that I discovered TL.net.
Recently, with the TSL, I find myself having to choose between writing papers and doing homework, or getting on TSL forums and refreshing (needless to say, if ladder was this exciting, the next leg is going to get a lot of attention from yours truly). My brain chooses schoolwork, but even before I even realize it, I'm back on tl.net.
And being involved in lots of other stuff recently (things like the school newspaper, a small business, helping out @ church, my chick) I wonder if it's time to give up this silly addiction of mine and get on with the things in my life that are seemingly "more important."
I'm not asking for you to share in my wallowing. I think to some extent it's all something we've had to consider, seeing how the game is over ten years old now. Not only does real life call, but when is this hobby going to start cutting into things that truly do need more attention?
Is anyone else feeling like they're outgrowing the game? And if not, do you feel like you SHOULD be?

starcraft is only 10 years old, you have like 8 more years to go before you can get rid of it.

Um...sc is a hobby, and you will always have hobbies. Replace your current hobby with something else that's new to you, or be an all work no play kind of guy.

just do whatever you want and keep whatever obligations you want
just be true to the obligations you do keep

it's rare to see adults play video games, but isn't that because they never played video games growing up? I think we may begin to see a cultural change in the coming years and like Snet said, sc is a hobby and you will always have hobbies. If sc just isn't fun to you anymore, or if you dont have time or osmething,,then by all means quit. But if you're quitting with the mantra that adults dont do "silly" things like play video games, then you may wnat to reconsider tossing away somethign that was such a precious part of your childhood.

Try to balance it out. SC is extremely hard to kill out of your life so just regulate playing.
