but still tell the cops that you want to talk to their supervisor if they don't pursue action on the person, and because they don't want to lose their jobs they will comply, or talk to their supervisor and he will deal with it.

Just some crimes i can think of off of the top of my head that can he pushed against this guy is:

malicious wounding, attempted murder, battering, assault, robbing,larceny, attempt to dispose of evidence.

Then you can of course sue him civilly, for medical expenses, the money you coulda made while in the hospital, emotional implications, and probably a shitload of others
