like i said he looked good in online qualifers (I even already mentioned gamescom!).
But if you honestly think him winning this indicates that he's the best player in the world, or that the reigning gsl champion and current back to back ssl finalist shouldn't be in contention for that title, then* i guess we just have significantly different understanding of what it means to be the best player in the world.

I don't think he's better than Classic atm, but how is he not even in the same league when he's performed equally or better than the players you listed

The players I listed have all had significant accomplishments in live competition. Innovation has barely competed.
Soo- Won the Kespa cup. Maru - by far best player in proleague Classic - Current IEM + SSL Champion. Rain - current gsl champ Dream - reigning back to back SSL finalist, rising star
innovation - won an online qualifer. beat keen in code a.
again- not saying he's playing badly. but he can't possibly be in the same league as these players when he hasn't achieved anything close to them recently. Let him win gamescom, or a gsl, and then we'll add him to the convo

I'd say he needs to beat those players in a tournament, and not an online qualifier, for it to count

TY disappoints yet again

Obviously he has to continue the current trend of "Korean Terrans don't win anything".

Maru- dominating proleague Flash - Semis in Kespa cup do i really need to mention dream again? hell even byun has won like 4 leifeng cups this month

fair enough. i didn't really want to say inno is in the best player conversation but i meant super recent form where he's looked better than classic. soO is absolutely dominant and has the results to show for it.

Seriously, Proleague is nice and all but not an individual tournament. Semis are great especially for Flash but it falls under definition of "not winning anything", as does everything Dream has done in his career. The only tournament a Korean Terran (except WCS) has won is SSL and the finals were a TvT. Korean Terrans are choking in individual leagues. A lot. Or I guess I should specify; it's KeSPA Terrans. Amount of premier tournaments won by KeSPA Terrans 2014/2015 combined? 3. Korean Terrans outside of KeSPA? 11. Even considering the fact that the top KeSPA Terrans stay inside of Korea for most of the year, that's pretty clear underachieving.
