I was so surprised with that big pop up screen since I didn't know it ends in 1821. Too bad it stopped, I was just picking up steam like crazy :D Now on to the decision which country to pick for my next run...scary addictive game I must say XD I think I should play Ironman, but I'm only running on a Celeron currently and the freezes from autosaves all 5 years already annoyed me, I don't think I can handle that every month. | ||

gonna need to pull out all the exploits for this one (I realize that you can ally Tunis and Tlemcen and dunk Morocco on day 1 and gather your strength elsewhere but I intend to do this achievement the completely wrong/suboptimal way). | ||

Also anyone know why sometimes i get twice the AE that it says in a p[eace deal. For example it says i will get 26 but it rises by 52. there's a number of multipliers - distance, religion, culture group also there's an additional penalty to taking lands from different religious group | ||

Gonna beat up Mamluks and Castile a bit more and then start a massive world war to close out the campaign. Think I got a pretty good handle on this game now, but next time I'm not going to ally France, it makes everything too easy | ||

I think its a little silly that they're too big to inherit by like 28% but whatever. Ottomans are about to go revolutionary don't think I've seen them westernize before, forcing them to release egypt really trashed them since they got cut in half made all their african provinces turn 75% autonomy from overseas . | ||

Temple crushes every other building. It's not tax income, it's base tax. Every 4 temples adds 1 force limit, every 2 coastal temples adds 1 naval force limit. They boost province supply limits too, which is convenient outside Europe. Tier 2 trade building is quite good though, I agree. Build lots of those if you can afford them. I prefer them to everything but temples, if monarch power is not at issue. (Except Treasuries where they improve unit maintenance of course.) | ||

Sure, you could go humanism, but then you pretty much used an entire idea group to half-assed stabilize your empire which is not that ideal. | ||
