There will be an ASUS ROG tournament at Assembly Winter 2015 but it's with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. There is IEM Taipei SC2 tournament at the same time as Assembly Winter 2015, and also CS:GO seems to be on the rise and SC2 on the decline lately, so I am not surprised ASUS picks the former as they did in Assembly Summer 2014. Let us hope that LotV will bring the big international SC2 tournaments back to Finland.

Is there any WCS points assigned for this event?

Always funny to have LANs here in Finland. Let's hope that I'll get there, because it is just so cool to play at LANs and be so "pro"

nagrodus, Haspe and Deborah qualify from the 2nd online qualifier tournament. Congratulations!

Still no way to buy a ticket just for this event?
|
Unfortunately, the tournaments are held inside the Assembly LAN festival, so the only way to see the tournament live is to purchase a 3-day visitor ticket (€30), computer place ticket (€55-65) or get lucky and obtain one of the free 1-day tickets the organizers and some players have.
Tickets can be bought at assembly.org/winter15/tickets.
It is a future dream that esports events at Finnish LAN patries would have a separate space and a separate entrance, which would then enable us to sell separate tickets to the esports spectator area.

Any reason why daily tickets are not being sold?
|
On January 16 2015 05:48 rotta wrote: Any reason why daily tickets are not being sold? Few years ago they sold 1-day tickets but it was too big of a hassle. People would buy 1-day tickets but stay inside the venue too long. There is not enough man power to control the visitors well enough, so 3-day tickets only is the compromise they have made. As you probably know, the festival is a 24h operation, so there is no good way to check each person's ticket daily like in music festivals for example where you have to leave the area at night.
