to top it off though, the last 6 hours of those 48+ hours (i dunno how long it was for sure) were spent drinking and smoking, it never even really phased me.

The whole thing actually worked quiet well although thinking about it it was kind of scary. Included was an 18 hour nonstop cstrike session. I didn't even get up once. Today I can barely manage to stay awake for 20 hours.

Eh, I had energy drinks, coffee, lots of carbs for the long-term energy, lots of soda, lots of food. Kept myself stimulated with various activities for first 40 hours (party, then work tutoring, then rock concert) but once me and my friends started the sleepover after the concert, 30 hours into it, I just left for home and passed out with my face against the cold window in a futile attempt to do my homework.

During my Lineage 2 days, I found that 8 hours uptime, 2 hours sleep time to be the best ratio that's sustainable over a month.

Unfortunately, most of us have school/work/social matters that would conflict with that.

I remember this one minilan we tought we still had it. But oh no. Deep into the second night one of us stood up and left to go to sleep. Of course we mocked him "buuhuu! pussy! chick!". Only two of us left we decided to play natural-selection over the internet. Normaly there is much laughter and chat but over time it got really quiet. We played tough. Me and my buddy were running trough this levels as skuls ready to sneaky assault some marines. And while i was running trough this dark hallways i noticed my buddy is gone. So i wen't back looking for him and i saw his skulk running against a wall. I was like "huh?". Then i stood up and looked over the other side and saw his head lying on his keyboard sleeping. When he woke up he just continued to play like nothing happened. Only hours later i couldn't keep up and i felt it's my turn to sleep. He of course mocked me for my weakness... Other lan story. One time we were at this public lan with hundreds of people. Easy going time we had. We of course did the same thing we did at home. Beer as much as we can lift and playing as much as we can. When we decided to go to sleep, we wandered around in these halls and seperated. Everyone found his place. When i woke up i looked for my buddy and i found him lying on a bench right next to a tennis field. Two people were playing right next to him and he looked so fucked up they didn't even wan't to wake him. I personaly can't sleep as soon as the sun is up.
