Sometimes, at about 30 hours, I see a bunch of white streaks swimming around my peripheral vision. They look solid, and it lasts about a dozen seconds. At about 40-50 hours, I just don't care any more. I don't care about the game I'm playing, I don't care about how tired I am, I don't care about whether I sleep or keep playing. The one time I stayed up 70 hours (ok, I cheated with 30 minute sleep), I ingested about 8 liters of coke and went to the restroom maybe 20 times. It didn't feel much different from 40-50 hours, except that my eyes started hurting when the sun rose.

Anyways, the last time I stayed up that late, I was only getting about 2-3 hours of sleep every day for about 5 days. I was barely eating or drinking as well. Then I randomly pulled my left pectoral muscle and it triggered an anxiety attack because I swore I was having a heart attack because of the immense pain. I had to call an ambulance. It so wasn't worth it.

I stay up 18-24 on an almost daily basis, for various reasons. In my experiences, me and BottleAbuser have had very similar experiences, except for the streaks. I don't experience any vision impediments or hallucinations at any of the hours. 24-?? are generally the "everything is funny and fun" time for me, and I tend to feel like I'm thinking more clearly than ever. Thoughts come faster and imagination works much more vividly. At the very least, it does seem to make me have a quicker tongue and be more social. Whether that's just me loosening up or what, I don't know. Two days and on always makes me feel burned out. That's zombietime. Nothing really matters and sleep sounds acceptable, but I still have to force myself to lie down. Regardless of when you go to bed now, you're going to feel crappy when you get up most likely. Expect random body aches and grogginess.

to top it off though, the last 6 hours of those 48+ hours (i dunno how long it was for sure) were spent drinking and smoking, it never even really phased me.

The whole thing actually worked quiet well although thinking about it it was kind of scary. Included was an 18 hour nonstop cstrike session. I didn't even get up once. Today I can barely manage to stay awake for 20 hours.

I don't know how people pass that barrier. caffeine, or similar drugs Eh, I had energy drinks, coffee, lots of carbs for the long-term energy, lots of soda, lots of food. Kept myself stimulated with various activities for first 40 hours (party, then work tutoring, then rock concert) but once me and my friends started the sleepover after the concert, 30 hours into it, I just left for home and passed out with my face against the cold window in a futile attempt to do my homework.

I remember this one minilan we tought we still had it. But oh no. Deep into the second night one of us stood up and left to go to sleep. Of course we mocked him "buuhuu! pussy! chick!". Only two of us left we decided to play natural-selection over the internet. Normaly there is much laughter and chat but over time it got really quiet. We played tough. Me and my buddy were running trough this levels as skuls ready to sneaky assault some marines. And while i was running trough this dark hallways i noticed my buddy is gone. So i wen't back looking for him and i saw his skulk running against a wall. I was like "huh?". Then i stood up and looked over the other side and saw his head lying on his keyboard sleeping. When he woke up he just continued to play like nothing happened. Only hours later i couldn't keep up and i felt it's my turn to sleep. He of course mocked me for my weakness... Other lan story. One time we were at this public lan with hundreds of people. Easy going time we had. We of course did the same thing we did at home. Beer as much as we can lift and playing as much as we can. When we decided to go to sleep, we wandered around in these halls and seperated. Everyone found his place. When i woke up i looked for my buddy and i found him lying on a bench right next to a tennis field. Two people were playing right next to him and he looked so fucked up they didn't even wan't to wake him. I personaly can't sleep as soon as the sun is up.

I think it was like 60-80+ hours of no sleep. Taking into consideration i was like 14 year old or something and was a complete idiot. At lan i peak 30 hours but when i have school it's around 6-8 hours. I hate sleeping so much, it seriously ruins your day.

My face was numb for like an hour and the muscles were sore all day. I literally "blacked out" - I was doing one thing, and then just a blank slate in my memory until I was stirred awake.

If I do that much I actually feel groggy and lazy and I dont have a good day. I've realized for me 7-8 hours/day and a somewhat regular sleep cycle work best. For me, alarm clocks work well too - once I'm awake, I try to leave my bed somewhat fast, instead of staying in it in a half-asleep state for another couple of hours (I know a lot of people do that).

I've been up 36 hours once, but the only thing that kept me up was that I constantly kept myself busy with stuff. There are only few situations these days where i'd consider an "all-nighter" and that is: - I haven't studied for a test/exam which is about to happend the next day - I've been on holidays for so long that i've fucked up my sleeping pattern so bad and I need to get it back by staying awake until I'm able to fall asleep on a decent hour
