This match isn't close or anything: I'm just posting it because of the 3rd round. + Show Spoiler [the match] + + Show Spoiler [omgsexy] + Start of the 3rd round: Raboru does a HOMING-DASH 720-SUPER! And then as soon as it's done, HE DOES IT AGAIN! That's TWO 50% damage supers in a row! I want to learn how to pull that off: it's like an instant win.

namco should fire every member of their creativity/ideas/character design teams. all of the new characters are a collection of moves from other existing characters down to the animations and for a lot of the old characters all they did was update the models. disappointing maybe im just not seeing enough from the terrible quality youtube videos or im not reading enough about what theyve changed, but to me its almost difficult to tell the difference between the new game and the previous

I heard about this yesterday too and I think it's great! Copy and paste time... Ohhhh wicked: Atlus is going to release a US PS2 port in English! Currently scheduled for April 8th at a cost of $30! The official page: http://www.atlus.com/arcanaheart/ The announcement: http://atlus.com/new_forum/viewtopic.php?t=525 Now I'll finally be able to make sense of the story mode, like why the other characters cry whenever Kira talks to them . The announcement, however, is a bit... well, see for yourself: These gorgeous fighters will make your jaw drop with their looks (or their fists). At first I hoped they were just joking around, but then it goes on to describe the girls as "beauties" several times... (note for the unaware: the girls are mostly <= 14 years old). Anyway, perverse press release aside, I think this is great. In addition, one of the guys doing the localization at Atlus is asking people on shoryuken.com for any bugs they may have noticed, which means the US version will not only be readable, it'll hopefully be less buggy, too. Apparently lots of people hate the loading time, so if we're really lucky the long loads will be improved as well.

I think it's ST, but I don't really know, so I'll just label it "SF2" <_<. SF2 - John Choi vs Daigo From Evo, I believe. + Show Spoiler [the match] + + Show Spoiler [TIGER] + TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER TIGER lol

My question are; what is a good way to get started on these kinds of games? Are they mostly PS2 and arcade centered? And what kind of advice or tips can you give to new blood? I suggest playing this kind of games if you have arcade community and/or organized tourneys in your environment. People practice on consols and show their skills in arcades. Playing home and playing at arcades is like drinking beer home or drinking beer at pubs. If there are no arcades in your city, but you have some friends who feel like playing these games with you and each other, then that could be a good starting point too. Pick a game what you like and start off with that.

This client is next to magic. If course, if you try to play against somebody with a bad connection in South America or China, you're not going to get great results, but in general it allows you to play these games in an almost latency-free environment, something of a dream come true for many. There are tournament players using GGPO, so the level of play there can be high. However, there are also some scrubs on as well, as far as I can tell from actually beating a few of the several I played against (and I have no fighter background). Of course, you have to (illegally) acquire the arcade ROMs. Anybody played any games on this? I'm Myrmidon on the server. I'd prefer to play VS, if anybody's interested. I'm even worse at SFA2, and MvsC is totally broken what with War Machine/Wolverine. And I don't even know wtf a KOF is (figuratively) so don't bother. edit: this is partially in response to SayaSP; this would be a good way to find games outside of an actual arcade
