sure, nobody expects them to be at their peak, but this is a very weak start, losing to new teams and tier 3 teams

How much time will they need to realize XBOCT is just useless...... He has 1 good game in a decade and every one goes nuts but when hes below mediocrity 99% of the time every one just makes excuses for him........ Even if Puppey's drafts were questionable and horrible XBOCT still had a poor performance with him and without him..... Hes the constant that drags Na'Vi down....... the sooner they realize it the better.

All I have seen from you drusalnik is trashing Hvost over and over again with the same excuse. Got any other thing you like to do then jump into an Na'Vi section and say the same BS over and over? Get it through your head, Na'Vi won't kick Hvost unless he does something extremely bad. You are clearly just a hater, he has generally more good then bad, then 1 mistake "OMG HE'S SO BAD". Give me a freaken break and give it a rest.

Obviously there's lots of room for improvement and adjustment, but I think they are on the right track with how they approach the game. Ya, they do look like how they used to play so that's comforting. But it'll take awhile I think for them to do better, or like how they were before. Just have to hope they keep improving~

Boohoo did i hurt your feelings tworwards one of the worst carry's in the world? Cant you get it trough your thick skull hes dragging the whole team down!? It is clearly not Puppey or Kuroky's fault he can't just be consistent enough to play the role he is supposed to. I actually like the 4players in Na'Vi and the team as a whole but they will be way better with another player it is simple as that. I am awere that XBOCT is tied quite hard to Na'Vi and possible replacement isn't gonna happen unless Zerogravity really wants to make something drastic wich he already did with Puppey and now is the time to and replace XBOCT as well.. so it isn't a big blunder to the organisation after they don't make any notable finishes this year cause of the lazyness that streams of XBOCT persona... Hurt? I'm more amused by your hate of Hvost then anything. There aren't any good carries to replace Hvost with anyway. Blow or Silent might be ok but if that was true they would have done so awhile already if it was absolutely necessary. If they were any better, they would have shown it when Empire was what they used to be several years ago. No one will ever live up to Burning. At least he isn't EE's constantly throwing and doing even dummer things.

And while I agree that XBOCT right now as absolutely terrible, he has been known to go into slumps and to get out of said slumps. His highs are up there with the best carries like in his AM days or his Lifestealer days but his lows are tremendously terrible as well. If I was a manager/owner, would I want to replace such a player if I know what he's been capable of? Also take into consideration what kicking him will entail to the organization. I would keep XBOCT and pray that he gets better. My opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Most people hate because they believe he is the reason for Na'Vi's downfalls when that is actually not true. Yes he does have very dumb ass moments where even I cannot excuse or find any good reason for what he was doing. But in general he has been reliable enough and a flash farmer that comes to team fights all the time when that wasn't a thing for a carry to do yet. I'll admit that he has been dreadful the past several months. Like very bad, so I understand the hate he has been getting, but do I believe he can snap out of it? Yes I do. Regardless of his close ties with ZG and Dendi, I'm sure they would want success as well. You see Puppey and KKy leaving, it might eventually happen if Hvost can't snap out of this deep slump he is in. As much as ZG loves stability, he like success as well. It took him a while and bad parts to fix his CS team, I'm 100% sure he would do the same to his DotA 2 team if it was called for. That said, the person I would like to see take Hvost's place if it DOES happen, actually would be Blow. I think he fits pretty well. I'm not a big fan of Silent actually.

He is basically what xboct should've been had he not started playing like trash.

Like everyone who's taken the time to respond, I think given some time XBOCT will get better like his TI2 and TI3 form... We just need to send him bananas

We just need to send him bananas "Constructive?" Are we supposed to be giving him advice? Our problem with Xboct is that he is constantly making inexplicably dumb plays. This is not about "the meta." This is about terrible decision making. Neither he nor Dendi are being held back by "the meta" - either of them is theoretically a top-tier player and can play enough heroes in enough ways that it is up to the team to be adjusted to the meta, not up to them as individuals. Wanna know why we're angry with Xboct? We lost Kuroky and Puppey for him, and he looks exactly the same as he did at TI: garbage.

Its simply drafts that isn't even suitable to them, while also being weak in general. While everything I have said pinpoints to puppey's fault, I also don't think that changing the roster was necessary. It was simply a quick fix, because it doesn't seem like puppey was going to draft properly anytime soon. I think these are separate issues. I, too, believe Puppey's drafts were not up to par. I don't believe this is an issue of "the meta doesn't favor" as much as the team didn't practice and I don't think Puppey put in the research hours. I don't blame any one player for the team's performance at TI4; it was a team effort to lose and everyone had a hand in it. Nor am I - or, I hope, any people who are calling out individual performances - doing so based on simply looking at their individual results and saying "well they didn't make the impact I would expect out of them so they as individuals did poorly." Anyone who understands Dota even a little bit understands that an individual's performance relies on the team's performance and the whole team did badly. I am saying, as everyone who has been critical of Xboct has been, that he has been consistently making bad plays, and not making enough good plays to make up for it. People excuse this with "oh Xboct is just aggressive when [magical event happens] this will be ok again." No it won't. It will only be ok in specific games where he gets big enough that his aggression is difficult to rebuff. That's not good carry play. Any carry can do that, and there are a lot more competent carries out there than people know, since most of them aren't playing carry. Lots of people could replace Xboct at his current level of performance.
