I have hopes for this new navi team, I think picking less famous players who are talented and motivated to shine may pay off really well and can be better fits than reckonned players who are more a safe choice than anything. I often feel disappointed by those 5 star players stack anyway.
And fng draft style may fit really well with navi gameplay. I don't know if they can achieve half of what they did before, but I'm definitely not jumping ship.

Glad to see Navi again, new lineup looks solid, im diggin the FNG addition, even though i dont really know him aside from being in PR, but some new CIS talent is just what navi needed.

That being said, Puppey was my favorirte on that team, and i could only cheer for a CIS team cuz it was a mixed one, so we could get interviews and insights and co-casts from them in English, plus Puppey was an all around badass, so i wont consider myself a Navi fan anymore, but i think the team needed this change.

I know XBOCT was on a hard carry but come one he didn't use the manta once and hes whole contribution to this game was just been a 5th member........

This game was won by funn1k and vanskor + fng.........because dendi was shut down kinda early.
XBOCT should of been gone from this Na'Vi they need to find a better carry.

that s not how it works.
Havost is the only original navi member left, and afaik he's very close with Dendi, who is the nr.1 fan favorite and the face of navi. So there s no way they gonna get rid of dendi+havost combo. He's been criticized for years, and made far bigger individual mistakes than this past months, and they wont change him, that s just the way it is.
An e-sport team is more than just a winning machine, even struggling, Navi is way more popular than say Newbee/VG gaming or most any western team, and that means better sponsorship deals, more viewership for the matches they re involved etc

And in a twisted way, it's even part of the Navi brand to have this carry, about whom people complain and argue on and on and on, since the beginnign of time to the end of it, and beyound

This is where xboct belongs. On a good day he'll 1v5 any team. And it's always worth waiting for that one day to happen because it's his pure manly awesomness.
I agree that funn1k carried those games hard yesterday and I was extremely excited to see him back on bat. Sure it wasn't his best performances but he plagued navi so much with this hero when he was on Empire that I just want to see him on it again.

Vanskor looks really solid FNG seems aggressive both with drafting and playstyle which fits well with Navi but I hope they don't become too one-dimensional without Puppey's strategic creativity.

Yes I will wait through any number of losses from his terrible decision-making and pointless feeding just waiting for the one day he does what literally any sufficiently-fed carry will do and eat the opposition.

Wait that was all sarcasm I want someone who makes good decisions and is a consistent performer.

On another note Funn1k was on bat at TI4, probably at ESL and/or Summit also, nothing new about it.
