Drusalnik you are not stating facts, you are stating your opinions, and I for one have a much different opinion. I think Xboct is doing great in this season, yes he makes mistakes but they are in no way critical mistakes. I think that people who are flaming him so much are exaggerating because they sort of want him to make mistakes so they can bitch about them.

So to change the subject. What do you guys think about Fng's drafting ? I get the feeling he's doing things right, even training Dendi for more farm oriented mid heroes. Their recent record is amazing and seems Fng often outdraft's in BO1 but will he be able to draft so good in series ?

Na`Vi will be replacing Secret Team at World E-Sports Championships LAN next week!

They will face C9, EG, Newbee, LGD, LGD.CDEC, Titan and one more team TBD.

"Xboct is great. On another note, isn't it great someone is expanding Dendi's competitive hero pool?"

Yes I willfully misinterpreted "training Dendi for more farm-oriented mid heroes"

There are in fact several ways to interpret that which aren't how I paraphrased it; why don't you offer some examples yourself?

The last match i watched of Na'Vi he made 3 mistakes wich led them to lose 3lanes of rax in 1 go vs teamcoast not even a tier1 team.

Lets agree to disagree.

Also are they seriously replacing Secret team?
Any ideas why i mean don't get me wrong that is great but did Secret pulled out or the league doesn't have confidence in them that they will perform ?

I wrote what i meant. Why would you need examples of interpretation? Training doesn't mean expanding... Training means practice, exercise. I remember Puppey saying in an interview that he would rather give Razor to Xboct then Dendi because he is more comfortable with that hero. IMO you train to build comfort and confidence and that’s what Fng's drafts felt like to me. Like he was building confidence of all Na'Vi players (not just Dendy) for this meta. I might be completely wrong of course. That’s why I'm asking you guys what do you think of his drafts and especially do you think he (or they) will be able to draft competently vs strong teams in BO3 and BO5?

I've expressed before that in terms of drafting, what a captain feels good about is not the same as what a player is capable of. I don't believe Dendi needs "training" in farm-dependent mids, he is clearly capable of playing them and has a competitive history on them. Maybe you should be more specific?

Yes, why not?
It is always good to be enlightened.

Seemed weird to see Dendi on Lyc and Xboct on Lesh but they both did good. Also Dendi is getting better with DP and Funn1k with NP. Good to see them expand their pool and do well.

High five!

Yeah his DP game in TI4 vs. C9 was pretty disappointing; one of the clear standout bad performances for him during the competition I thought. According to DotaBuff this Lycan game was only his second in competitive history; both were pretty gross (8 KDA last time). I still disagree with Ciko's premise as stated and a quick scan of Dendi's top heroes at DotaBuff will show why quite easily.

I think this new Na'Vi lineup is doing really well so far, it seems to have given new life to the players. Even in the game vs KRG i think? they had XBOCT on Lesh and Dendi on Lycan and had everyone group up by Rosh so Lesh could invis them and set a trap, even sending out Rosh time in all-chat haha. It was good seeing them mess around and having fun while completely dominating another team like the old days!

Krg won't convince me quite yet but it's true they're playing with a lot more life now. Like early lvl shenanigans to less aversion to pull off slightly risky roshes. In ti4 navi had the least roshes per game so it's nice seeing them willing to fight near the rosh pit (as it's always been one of their strengths to force teams to react and catch them in less than ideal conditions)

Also now that goblak is with nvmi, is navi coach-less again?

OK so how much internal conflict was there in the team after TI4? Do we know what happened?

We don't. But most rumor mills suggest that the usual language barriers and that puppey didn't want to do stuff, etc, etc. No one knows for sure tho.

Incredibly that after few years of international presence and many international trips, language barrier is still such an issue.

Our Chorale has been to several 2 month tours over Europe and not a single one of our residents have a good grasp of any language (except the ones they studied in school) I imagine that these guys know their native tongue + some English. In interviews, you can see that Dendi, XBOCT, even Puppey had a little trouble conveying their thoughts in English

Manager less. Old manager (razzoc/n0point) probably will be back (99%-ish sure of it).

Language barrier. XBOCT is super happy to hear commands in his native tongue ). And despite all player of old na'vi being capable of speaking english and even kuroky could understand russian-dota lang to some extent, its far more easier in stressful situation to communicate in one of your native language.

Puppey and kuro. They where planning to leave long time ago, but obviously ti4 delayed that.

Fng. He actually had no idea for a very long time that na'vi decided to take him ).
Everything is a remix.

The issue about communication troubles were well known w/ Kuro. At least I knew it from all of the interviews they done. Hvost complained about it several times.

Though, I think... Puppey? Or Dendi... one of them said Kuro was learning Russian from someone (his gf? it was someone) and was trying to make it better. To which he did, at least he tried his best.

But, if you have something as a second language, which I do actually, English is my 2nd language technically. When you start learning something new, you might be able to say certain things, but when things get chaotic and fast, you will tend to revert to your main language you speak. (Happened to me when I was younger in Elementry School) I'm sure that would have happened with Kuro.

So, I mean them being on the same page again is nice. They look a lot better just by that alone. Probably helps.

Agreed. English is also my second language and trying to learn a third or fourth (Latin and French in my case) was so hard when I no longer study it in class.
