I'm not disagreeing with you, but Kane was BEHIND in that game and managed to come back, which is much more difficult than being ahead and securing a victory. he just camped built static D infestor, i dunno, nothing impressive, scarlett lost that game as opposed to kane winning it And that makes her the superior player? muta control and overall dominance does, one engagement after camping doesn't show to me that you're the superior player
He made correct decisions, she didn't.

I think I said in the last thread that Major and Kane were both players who could beat Scarlett and were comparable. Happy to see them do it.

He has better ZvZ, that's all we know for now

Coming from the biggest Scarlett fanboy, a lot of people overrate scarlett.
Wow that is super GG.

Sc2 is highly volatile, anyone can beat anyone in a Bo3 at the pro level, of course those players can and do beat her. Consistency is what matters in a game like this, what you do over a year, or two.

Kane is closing this out from 99% to 100%.

Kane actually has a winning record against her 1-2 2-0 2-0

Consistency is a rare quality to find in most players.

Sadly is seems like she doesnt have a ton of consistency when playing NA players. She plays better against better players.

So easy to say X is the better player, so easy to judge :/
Yes Kane won this but both played superb, Scarlett had tremendous mental pressure from the Hitman story (who appeared in the last damn minute) but still managed to win flawlessly vs him and put up a serious fight against Kane.
GG BOTH!

Clearly a showcase of the EU advantage.

zvz is incredibly volatile, i wouldn't go so far as to say i have better zvz. she 3-0'd life and i got 0-3'd by life. it's just an incredibly stupid matchup in my opinion

Well you seemed to be pretty dominant in those games so I wouldn't say it was luck or anything.

She'll drop out of this tournament after some uninspired play and some pretty big mistakes, and that will bring out the imbeciles who think this means she is no longer a good player and yaddah yaddah. This does not change the fact that no other NA player has done jack shit on the international scene against Koreans in all of HotS.
People in this game really overvalue a bad tournament performance. She lost in bad fashion to Kane today. How many big tournament results does Kane have? Consistency is the only reliable indicator of ability.

But does Scarlett really have consistency? After going 4-0 against major last MLG she loses 2-1 here and then loses to Kane. I would say scarlett's play actuallly varies more than most players. Sometimes she's the best foreigner, other times she loses to Hitman and Incontrol. I don't know, maybe I'm being overly critical and bitter. I just hate to see my favorite player lose like that :/

Kind of an interesting dichotomy. Fans in the west value consistency more which is why we awarded Protoss of the year to Dear over sOs and Terran of the year to Taeja over Maru.
But in Korea they did the opposite giving it to sOs over Dear and Maru over Taeja.

I mean going 141-37 (79.2%) in maps and 63-8 (88.7%) in BoX against NA seems like pretty good consistency especially in sc2.
