It got buffed quite a lot over time, tanks doing a bit of extra DPS via attack speed buff, combined upgrades. The style is a bit less multi-task intensive and more positional focused, which some people prefer. Its also strong in straight up fights against a lot of things. But yeah, the drawbacks of the immobility, the prospect of playing 1 hour games and the possibility of facing SH every game makes it very unappealing to me.

I recommend you to not play mech then because that's the 2 best ways to beat it Will Terrans, if they Mech, get to a point where they prepare for the base trade as Protoss sometimes do? Mass turrets at a base, for instance, the way Protoss cannon up. Turrets (and a couple of WM) are way better AA than Cannons too. Mines take supply, so doubtful. Also lack of recall and slow as shit units make the basetrade really hard on bigger maps. You almost have to split up your army to kill the zerg bases before the mutas kill yours, and then you become very vulnerable to mutas picking off your forces piecemeal.
Honestly, if you go mech, there is no reason not to turtle into mass raven. It is probably the strongest overall comp in the game in a direct engagement.

They got wins with it. A week ago, the standard was still the reaper -> hellion -> banshee into mech build which zergs interpreted as MMMM and got 11 for melee, before catching on. This allowed terrans like Flash to get an early advantage which they often translated into wins. Now we see a lot more scouting...

They hate bio I guess. Or they like positional play better than aggressive play.
SuNo, why no mines?????

Because every Korean Terran that has played Bio lately vs a "even ranked" Zerg has gotten masscred? With Mech we have seen a lot of T victories (Flash especially in PL, also some other PL-games comes to mind). I mean I guess ForGG can beat Lambo with Bio easy, but vs Soulkey and likes I dont think Bio cuts it anymore.

If suno showed a little better hellion/banshee control he could have taken both games.

How did supernova play? Am I a madman for hoping he will still advance?

Well, I guess our chances for having our first terran advance to the RO 16 just went down the dumpster.

I imagine Yello putting on his old LR outfit, not sure if his belly will still fit.

If he faces Leenock again: He won't advance. Hopefully his TvP is way better than his TvZ, because that was really not impressive at all... He took damage he shouldn't take in both games, in the first game he almost died to a Roach attack (-> No tanks) and in the second game he... well... ruined his early game quite hard.

Come on Leenock. Come on!!!
