But turrets easilly get shred up by zerglings, so you need a tank mine thor turret defense, in which case they just kill your army.

They should, but the problem is Turrets are AA only. Unless you add a PF and some sim-city a couple of lings shred everything.

Unless you win before they get it rolling or the z flies into a trap. Leenock himself lost such a lategame situation in Code A, so it's not impossible to win.

Sufficient thors beat mass mutas.
If they take the fight that is.

Problem is that it is so hard to balance your army, especially with the tech switches a zerg can do, or just plain hiding units.

Yes, if you go extremely heavy on thors you beat mass mutas. And you need alot of turrets since thors are so slow. Now he makes one batch of swarmhosts -> your thors die. Only way thors beat that is if the swarmhosts are cornered, then you can simply push in them. Otherwise they just unburrow, and reburrow once they can spawn again.

Not to mention simply mass roaches.

I just say that is what you need to fight Mutas straight up. Not saying its ultimate Terran deathball or anything.

no amount of turrets can stop 40+ mutas. Protoss needs storm with their cannons, terrans need widow mines or thors with their turrets. Problem is you need to commit a lot more supply as Terran. And Supernova didn't really have the economy to go mass turret and leave a bunch of supply behind in case of a basetrade as he also didn't knew if Leenock was preparing a swarmhost-transition.

I think Supernova did a lot of stuff wrong earlier in the game and when Leenock got to that mass muta composition Supernova was too far behind and could only win if Leenock did big mistakes with the engagements which he didn't

works sometimes ... many zergs are confused what to do at times ... but zergs like soulkey and leenock eat u up

I think that's the point many people talking about mech here don't see. SuNo's performance was really disappointing.
On the other side... wasn't SuNo always known for his TvP, rather than his TvZ? At least a few years back I think that was the case :-P

Splash damage changed to deal 40 damage within a 1.25 radius, 20 damage from 1.25 to 1.5, and 10 damage from 1.5 to 1.75.
