Keep in mind that while Starbow has some similarities, the AI and limited control groups (I don't believe starbow limits them?) makes the game different enough. That and supposedly they had some extra units in Starbow but I never played it to tell lol. Winning is pretty rewarding in BW. Welcome aboard!

I'm new to battle.net and don't understand how anything works. sorry, should've explained lol. I meant I added you to the document in the OP I can give you a small explanation here but I think there's a doc on here that explains more: For commands: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=41457
This has a couple of them. Now after you logged into the iccup server using MP, you are in a chat channel. You can talk to the other players in the list there, maybe ask if someone wants to play a game etc... There are several options: Channel- if you click on this, you get a list of channels. You can choose a channel and double click it to go into it. Friends- if you click this, you can see a list of friends. If their name is white, they are offline. Yellow, they are online. You can just send them a message through /m or other commands(I'm not familiar with all commands unfortunately). Create- you can make your own game. You choose a name, password, map(most use fighting spirit from iccup map pack), game type(you want one on one for the game to count) and speed(keep it at fastest). In general, when creating a game, most people would specify what they are looking for. For ex. 1v1 D Z only means that you want to have a 1vs1, D level player(there's D-, D and D+) and you want a zerg opponent. Once the opponent joins your game, if you're satisfied with their race and you're good to go, common courtesy is to say glgl or so then press ok and the game counts down till it starts. If you want to create a game, you'll have to forward ports on your router to do so. There's a guide here on TL, you'll have to search for it since I don't have the link but it's pretty simple to do. Some people do have trouble with it though depending on the router. Join- click this and you get a list of games that others have created. There are usually 1-2 1v1 games that you can try to join and they are usually around D level. It's best if you can learn to create games though since you'll get someone joining your game pretty fast as long as it's not like 4 in the morning lol while you'll likely have to wait around if you can't join any current created games(full or latency issues). League- not as familiar with this, wouldn't worry about it though. Quit
Hope that helps. Feel free to ask questions if you want

I haven't forgotten the countless times I've lost to you in SCII though I mostly play TvZ and some PvZ so my TvP/TvT are pretty terrible and I've played like 10-15 games over the past 6 months or so, so who knows XD As an example: I lost to a mass zergling burrow tactics after a 1 rax FE just the other day(it was like 6-7 min into the game) but then won the next game by countering his early pool lol.

Iccup id: hockland rank: C- max rank: was a- years ago, no idea where I am now, but looking at iccup list from last season I should definitely reach B if I played enough race: zvt zvp pvz in terms of best matchups, but I like every mirror matchup (and I'm prolly a more suitable practice partner for many of you if I play terran. )
I think I'm also very good at explaining stuff.

spookyguy/terran/never played added you to the list If you want to learn, my advice would be to watch snipealot's streams(look under live streams -> StarCraft:Brood War and go for whichever one you want) and find someone on the list who's new-ish to play some games with. Check out liquipedia to see what builds and compositions you should go for and finally, read! read! read! lol. Best of luck!
