Normal damage does full damage to everything. Explosive damage does full damage to armored units and shields, 70% to medium units, and 50% to light units. Concussive damage does full damage to light units and shields, 50% to medium units, and 25% to armored units. The Starbow wiki might help you out, but it isn't exactly what you wanted. | ||

If so, would you consider rebalancing it to focus more on that role? Right now the Viking is not an answer to capital ships (Carriers / Cruisers) due to its reduced range and damage over the live versions. The Viking is a modest counter to muta at the point, but nothing like the 200 health, 2 armor Valkyrie was. Would you consider uping the Viking's resource and supply cost to be more like the Valkyrie, and then further improving the Valk-Viking's anti light firepower? | ||

The valkyrie was never an answer to capital ships anyway, you needed a lots and lots and lots... and lots of goliaths. | ||

Btw, I don't want vikings to be good anti capital, I believe Goliaths with Charon boosters have eaten that role from the live-version-Viking. That Goliath's have eaten the 8 range anti armor air attack role leaves less for the Viking to do in its current state. | ||

If this game just turns into SC2: Brood War it's going to alienate a huge portion of the user-base. Including me. Go play SC2: Brood War if that's what you want. This is suppose to be it's own game. | ||

I hated that I couldn't select multiple buildings. Would have helped a lot for late game macro when I had a shit ton of other stuff to do. I hated that I couldn't do Boxer-like ghost lockdowns and probably would never be able to use that particular strategy effectively. SC2 (to me at least) was supposed to shift the action spending from mechanical repetitive tasks to full map skirmishes, however for whatever reason (the "there is no micro" arguments, etc.) it didn't pan out. Starcraft to me is: Who can more efficiently get their units in position and let the AI take over (while they go and put their attention to other locations) more often and more critically. You know that moment when you know your units will be okay for the next 5 seconds just by analyzing the state of the screen? Then you can go back to your base and macro? Yeah that moment, except instead of having to go back and macro why not initiate another skirmish and make the effort to jump back and forth between all your skirmishes? I think that would be great. | ||
