when i was still starting to play .. i also made a thread and remember that liquid'drone or was it liquid'nazgul i cant seem to remember who said it. anyways that person said to me that "you can make it less mechanically tedious to put all production buildings on one screen " it was really helpful it actually made my life a little easier when playing .. like for example put all the barracks close to each other and bind the center barracks unto your control group so that when you are macroing you dont forget a single barracks not producing a marine and making it easier in your part to macro since you see them all in one screen .. i think you get my point

That sums up my beginning of broodwar multiplayer. I still feel like shit whenever i play nowadays. And one more thing. Since you are terran you are not gonna like tvp. Really....5 losing streak vs protoss , sob sob ....

The Mechanic way: Try one of the openings and then focus on building the Tier 1 units, then if you feel that you need to tech up to 2nd tier, go for it and continue to experiment with unit composition until you feel comfortable with all of them. Keep in mind to saturate your bases while produce at high efficiency. The Strategical way: Devise your own strategy. If one aspect of your strategy doesn't work, analyze it. Is it a mechanic problem? If so, keep trying that strategy. If its not, then its most likely be the viability of the strat itself, so change it. Evolve the strategy as you play. You'll end up developing both strategy and mechanics w/ both ways and more or less the same number of games played. It all depends on your gaming mindset.

I feel like zerg has the hardest time with mechanics. I mean zerglings are so weak, one second you'll have a huge group of them and the next they're all melted already. Especially difficult to have to think about larvae when the other races do not (but they do take money into account of course). Terran is very powerful and seems to have the most pro support behind it atm. The strategy sections on liquipedia are deeper, and stuff like Light's blog are really helping a lot of people get better at Terran. That said, play whatever race you feel like, just remember it's a long road.

No reason to try to learn the "easier" races if it's Terran that you really enjoy playing. And as others have mentioned it will pay off when you get to higher level being Terran.

I agree with the practice one build order. It's not as boring as it sounds as your opponents will have variance to keep you on your toes so you'll have to learn to adjust your build as the game progresses.
