Now I used the data provided by datDota to make some comments on the MLG Colubmus hero tendencies. Is in Spanish so it's a call to all my fellow taco-lovers TLers (I'm not Mexican lol) to check the blog if they are interested (http://uberplaygrounds.blogspot.com/2013/11/pick-to-win-los-heroes-de-la-mlg.html).
But, for not making it so boring for the majority of this wonderful community, I'll write the main notes I got from cheking the numbers, please note tha I'm just a common TL user as most of you, so as I'm not a pro-player or well-known caster, this is my humild opinion.
Table titles that are in Spanish translated: Hero, Matches, Wins, Lost, Win rate, levels, Total gold.
This is the general averages table of the most played heroes considering at least 12 matches, a 26% of the 45 total matches played during this event. Out of this we can make an obvious conclusion: Bane, Mirana and Nature's Prophet were big winners of the tournament since they got a 60% win rate. Sinsing on Mirana is the responsible of her success with a 83% of win rate and paS got a clean 5 - 0 on Bane. Nature's Prophet is more distributed among the players than the other 2 people, but it's interesting to note that Necronomicon on NP got a 75% of win rate, compared to the 60% of the item on the whole tournament.
The heroes that didn't work well during the even are kind of unexpected:
- Bounty Hunter went 0 - 5, he didn't actually manage to get a win. It's a low number of matches, but it's still suprising since the hero is sitting on a 56% win rate in the current patch.
- I think all of us expected more Night Stalker action, but it didn't happen. He only played 5 matches, and that's considering he were banned only 5 times.
- Support Alchemist didn't go well in the tournament, I checked all the 18 matches Total gold and GPM to see the wins/lose of the hero, only in 5 matches he played as a carry and he lost 3 of them, one from SWAG so that game could be considered as not reliable data, but another lost in burning in which he ended 0 - 6 with the hero. Looks like the pick is not being handeled very well for the pros. Or maybe I'm just being unfair with the Alchemist support... I mean, Alchemist got a 39% win rate compared to Crystal Maiden who got a 44%, but with 9 more games played.
- Venomancer was supposed to be one of the strongest supports in the tournament since he is sitting in a 54% of win rate, compare that to the 32% of win rate that he got in the tournament. Maybe the pros have already solved the way to deal against Venomancer, or maybe it was just a bad tournament for him. Consider that Venomancer was banned 21 times in the tournament.
And that's the summary TL!
I hope some of you find this information interesting, if anyone have a correction you can tell me. If you just liked it, I would love to know.
Regards.
