Big things have been happening at Teamliquid. Live streams and chats, reports and previews, and results and standings threads have made Korean Progaming even more accessible. This site is the source for non-Korean coverage. You could not find a more passionate user base or a more dedicated staff. This site is also about pushing the boundaries and constant improvement. The Previews, Calendar, and Power Rank are just a few examples.
You've all read the Pgr21 translation board and the Sense of Star blog by marencielo. You've also browsed some ESForce Magazine scans and watched The Storyteller's documentary on WCG 2005.
These are just tiny streams in an ocean of content by Korean media and fans. I am sure many of you wished you spoke and read Korean so you wouldn't be missing out, or hoped that someday there would be English articles written with the same level of quality and passion.
That day is today. I'm proud to introduce Teamliquid: Final Edits. Check it out here or in that neat sidebar on the right.
Discuss and read older articles in the TL:FE Archive Forum.
Enjoy the read, and maybe there will be a few "[R]English Translation" threads showing up at Pgr21 or FighterForum in the near future.
Teamliquid: Final Edits FAQ
- What is Teamliquid: Final Edits?
TL.FE is special section devoted to providing informed, English editorial content to the readership of Teamliquid.net. - How are these articles different than recaps or previews?
Recaps and previews are more like box scores of sports games. They say what needs to be said, but there is little room to be creative. At TL:FE you will find content on a wide range of ProGaming subjects, from hype-filled predictions to eye-opening statistical analysis to player-oriented articles. You may even see some roundtable chats or humor columns as well. - Who will be writing the articles?
The list of regular staff writers include Carnac, DJEtterStyle, Hot_Bid, Live2Win, ManaBlue, Manifesto7, and thedeadhaji. You may even see some articles by former ProGamers like Rekrul or old faces like Waxangel. We will also be featuring guest writers like HonestTea and FakeSteve. - How often will it be updated?
TL:FE will be updated continuously. Some writers may write one article a year. Some may write many every month. But collectively, there will be plenty of new, great stuff to read so keep checking back! - Can I be a Guest Writer?
Sure you can. PM Hot_Bid with prospective articles, and the article will be discussed with the other writers. However, the review process is very difficult and thorough. We have the highest standards here, and only because you, as the reader, deserve it. Our goal is to make this section as professional as possible. We want the authors to look back and be proud of what they’ve written. We are representing the entire international community! - Should I even try to do this then?
Don’t be intimidated. We encourage as many attempts as possible. It’s not only a great way to get involved and share your thoughts, but also to improve your writing. You’ll find some of the best articles come from the fans. Just look at the TL ProGamer Biography contest—there is no substitute for pure fan passion. - Can I request certain articles to be written? I want to read an article about…”
We want as much feedback and forum involvement as possible. The more discussion and excitement about the articles in this section, the more motivated people will be to write. So feedback, even critical feedback, is strongly encouraged. No guarantees about our writers listening however, as they all have a wide-range of strong opinions.
