Important
I propose that we use the mason-killing ability as a double-lynch mechanic during the day. If we have two targets that are highly suspect, the person masoned with one can kill them off so we know the flip prior to lynching. This will influence the lynch for that day.
That said, I do not think we should use this pseudo double-lynch day 1. Any thoughts?

Yeah, I would like to add the policy that you don't use the KP or if you do, you get lynched unless you strike scum. Then you are confirmed town and we all love you.
I want to refer people to Chezinu in Nuclear using nukes on randoms as scum because he could. I want to refer to SnB using his skillshot on Ace because he could. (SnB is not confirmed scum in Sicilian though)
Can I quote posts from other games? Marv says something very interesting about using your shot as scum.

Don't discuss games in progress period is the general rule. If it's a finished game, quote away.

Well, that is a retarded policy

You can quote posts if the game is over.
But if scum use the shot then they will strike town and get weasel their way out of it. We don't want scum getting a free kp. We should make sure the kill is a consensus by town before lynch so we control it. That said, a scum who is about to get lynched will most certainly use it to kill off their mason if he is town. No reason not to. So we need to be careful.

But I still stand by the policy. "If you kill your Mason, you get lynched"

Not day 1. Unless we have a billion good lynches.

That's some terrible logic and feels like you're trying to set up a mislynch. Why would you propose that?

Oh THIS policy. Yeah it's retarded if the town has consensus. If you just randomly use it for LOLKILLHIMHESCUM and it's town then... wtf....

If town agrees. Then you can kill obviously.
I am talking about an out of the blue Mason kill because 1-2 people thought he was scummy.

@ShiaoPi
Glad that you are active now, and also glad you pressed on the point about rayns suspicions on you that I raised earlier. I'm curious though, you seemed pretty confident that he was scum earlier in some of your posts.

This post seemed a ton less aggressive. Do you still think rayn is scum?

My first thought was that the mason pairing was random and I didnt even realize that mafia doesnt need to mason, but he went all the way a step further: he thought what was actually "good" for the mafia (1 on 1 pairings).
I'd really like you to elaborate on lazermonkey, I'm not following you... are you suspicious of him because you disagree with him on the mason pairing bit?

Regarding policy lynching the mason who kills his partner and he flips town. Well, this is just bad. The same way you wouldn't lynch a vigi who kills town. Even though he might not kill scum he saves us one misslynch if he kills a top suspect. If he kills someone without a very good reason and that person flips town, then we should obviously look into that player. But policy lyncing someone who kills town is a big no-no!

I actually think this is a good idea. If Malangos kill doesn't click, we use this mechanic as a double lynch, with town votes (probably during the night phase).
I also agree that it should be used later on, when there is more information on the thread, so I second this post.

I agree with you that I was a bit fluffy in my post. I find it strange that so many people jump on this FT wagon with the only reason being the "Kenpachi rule". I pointed out 2 people that went on that wagon really easily. But in 1 hour I will have a 1 on 1 with Lazermonkey, we will see what happens there. I generally don't like the Tofu wagon atm. Rayn was way more vocal about the VT claim than Tofu was, I find it strange that everybody wagoned onto Tofu instead.
Here you show that you feel that Tofu's wagon is not warranted using the VT claim as an argument, because rayn was more vocal about it. Do you think rayn is more suspicious? What do you think of the SHiaopi/rayn interchange?

I think you're making Koshi's policy bigger than it is. He proposes we only kill random mason kills not on towns consensus. And that's fine, as long as nobody random kills.
I want to use the mason-KP as a way of double lynch, and hopefully nobody fucks with that. Even if you are town and about to get lynched don't martyr-KP your mason, we can always do that later if he's suspicious. If you're about to get mason killed by the consensus of town and are town, think of it as a double lynch --- you're denying town information by denying your flip.
Anyway, I think scum have more motivation to mason kill if they are about to be killed in any way lynch or otherwise. If you're town and strike town with your mason kill martyr-KP then only shit can ensue imo.
|
Actually I think Lazermonkey makes a fair point. As a townie, the best play is to kill your mason pair before he kills you... "agreeing" to die if you are townie is pretty damn stupid. And scum will just do the same.
Let's just leave the mason-kill as a vigi-shot and move on?
