MSL action continues this afternoon/night (depending on where you are). Since I’ve mismanaged my time today, this one is going to be short and sweet.
June 7th – 18:30 Korean Game 1 @ GOMTV_Loki Game 1-2 @ Monty Hall Oversky(Z-CJ) vs Ever)P(TT(P-Samsung) Game 2 @ Monty Hall Game 2-2 @ GOMTV_Loki FireBatHero(T-Samsung) vs iloveoov(T-SKT1) Game 3 @ GOMTV_Loki Game 3-2 @ Python Stork(P-Samsung) vs Savior(Z-CJ) Game 4 @ Monty Hall Game 4-2 @ GOMTV_Loki July(Z-SKT1) vs Nal_ra(P)
Oversky (Z) vs. Ever)P(TT (P)
The only players I hate more than oversky are the chumps that keep letting him overrun them with lings. Oversky is going on unassisted-ling-win number 5 tonight as he will no doubt attempt to 9 pool his way to victory. Hell, it’s been working so far.
Ever has the ability to beat Oversky, even being down 0-1 right now, but he needs to get his head in the game. I don’t understand what has made Oversky’s unimpressive build orders and play so effective in his last handful of televised games but I’m getting tired of seeing people roll over for him. There has never been a player that needed to lose more than Oversky does right now. God forbid he progresses and forces us all to watch more of this nonsense.
iloveoov (T) vs. FireBatHero (T)
Not much to say here. Another toss up, tight TvT against two players that really deserve to be here. I don’t see a reason to give the edge to either of them other than the fact that Oov gets to go in with the lead. Since FBH has been playing such stellar TvT up until that last loss to Oov, he should certainly not be written off.
sAviOr (Z) vs. StOrk (P)
If I may present you with a glaring understatement, Savior is quite good. I had hope that Stork could overcome this guy, but after some convincing and solid play from Savior in game one, resulting in him taking the lead in the series, I don’t see Stork winning this one. It should be an entertaining matchup considering what is at stake, however, and Stork has played the best in his career since the prelims for this tournament so if you’re only going to watch one set of games, make it this one.
July (Z) vs. Ra (P)
July is a demon. He is a bump in the night. He is the monster under the bed of every young Toss player, causing nightmares that cripple the mind. He is more devastating in this matchup than Savior could ever hope to be. He reigned supreme throughout his prime and no Protoss player was ever able to come up with an answer.
It might make you dreamer toss fans sad, but I can’t see any set of circumstances that would result in Ra winning. July is too good, too hot, and too motivated right now to lose to a Protoss player in a series after going in with the lead. I’ll watch these games, but make no mistake, it will be purely to witness how July decides to go about ripping Ra’s limbs off. This won’t be pretty.
These matchups are incredible. I suggest you stay up and watch them. They won’t need you at work tomorrow morning anyway.
a) rA's strong map b) quite good for PvZ c) overall cheesy.
rA should take it. July dropped a game against some ex-Samsung Protoss on Monty Hall. I'm sure rA would do better.
Then it would come down to game 3 on Loki. rA on a new map is fearsome. July with three gasses is also fearsome. It should be a good game. I believe in the Holy President.

He's just abusing this phenomenon in pro-gaming right now. All of the opening builds are very predictable, so he's hard-countering. Bisu thought 1 cannon owns all, and it did not. Then the very next match, that idiot terran went 14CC... please, oversky deserves to win vs those kinds of people.
Wow, I blew it on the dates in more than one spot. That's what I get for cut/pasting.
Fixed.

I agree. I'm more pissed off at the losers that keep letting him pull that crap than I am at him for taking advantage.
Still, you must admit. He hasn't had to work for a single win all season. We're at the point now where it's getting pathetic.
