I hope he reconsiders. If he does he has this "?fans" support. Not otherwise. I would love to see him get back in shape again. Such a loss to the foreign Zerg community. it might be sad but not one singel bit weak.
if he doesn't get any satisfaction out of playing it is really damm hard to become a top player again.
i am glad that he doesn't leave the community and start doing something for hes fans^^

I wish he would play Dota2 instead of LoL since it's a bit more challenging, but whatever he enjoys I suppose.

I totally get it and will support him all the way and such, but eh.. goddamnit ><
GL Geg, it's been good, looking forward to see where you're going next. The Gracken Lives!

Thank you for all the time you have been playing competitive Idra. I always enjoyed your stream and your matches. I wish you the best and I really look forward to what the next months will bring.

i just wanted to drop by and express my appreciation for idra. I rarely post here, so I guess you can say this is a proof that i mean it! first of all, i highly respect you (idra) for your choices, f.e. leaving school to play professionally and also because of your personality. I'm really sad that you're ending your career as a professional gamer, because I cheered for you regardless of your shape, the circumstances or whatever, so I always was a huge fan of you. I came over to sc2 after playing wc3 and you were the reason I chose zerg (I accept your apology, it made my life harder than it is! ) and I found your stream and game insight really helpful and it made me improve a lot, also it was always a moment of joy when I saw your stream being online here on teamliquid. I immediately tuned in whether I would watch it or just leave it open in a tab to listen to the music or your commentary. however I sometimes found it hard to cheer for you, because it was difficult to believe in a win when you left games prematurely, but that's who you are and what most of the fans including me love you for nonetheless. but on the other hand I'm really glad to hear that you're not leaving esports and I can still watch you, especially as a caster. I can't stress enough how much I'm looking forward to it! further I'm relieved that you're also happy about your new opportunities! Please do me a favor and just continue to do what you love and to be yourself, you can count on my and many other fan's support! I hope we will meet in person someday, so I can get an autograph which I was hoping for for a long time.

I feel so bad, if only we were positive in all ocassions he might have stayed competitive :/

He still streams almost every day. He'll do more commentary while playing now, also will analyze the reps more.

Who is with me in thinking that it wont be long till he steps into "competitive gaming" again?
Ive seen people like idra, mainly in real sports, and guys like him cant really stop for good. Their drive to compete is too strong...

Thats so strange, I feel like IdrA have almost same mindset as me. I do enjoy the game itself, but not as much as for example I enjoyed WoW/any other game I played. I juts love to compete with other people, there is nothing better than feeling after winning a game. However, I get angry when i loose (Im trying to fight with this). I even tried to quit sc2, but competing in this game is sooo freakin addictive, despite the fact that Im only in master league.
Thanks IdrA for all you've done. You're the reason that 1 year ago I started playing zerg in silver. You "was" with me through silver, gold - all way up to Masters which I hit about 2 months ago. You're the most inspiring person for me, and nothing motivate me more to do my best in this game than you. Best wishes to you from me - Master Zerg from far-away land called P(r)oland!

That real talk was a really good watch. Cleared up pretty much everything. The decisions that were made were made and shit seems to be going in a positive direction. I'm pretty sure we can all agree that Idra won't stop being relevant for a while.
keep it up! so nice to see him move forward

Hey Idra. Any chance you could allow us to watch vods on your stream now that you're not actively competing? Would be great. Will be nice to see you casting again. Hopefully you can get psyched for the game again. Comeback in Legacy! Idra Hwaiting!

I'm actually pretty excited about this honestly. Given the fact that Idra has been to very few tournaments these past 5 months, him swapping over to a more content/commentary role means that we will be able to see a lot more of him.
Question about the subscription thing for his stream: How does this work, is it a one time payment or a monthly thing? How much is it normally?
Edit: Also, given that Idra is no longer planning on playing competitively, it would be awesome to see him stream Terran/Protoss games as well as Zerg. It may even help his commentating of those races.

so i will assume idra is not playing the wcs na challenger right ?

Idra was really fishing for casting gigs in this Real talk. The way he spoke of Dreamhack supporting him made me suspicious. Will we be seeing him as a caster during Dreamhack summer? That would be AWESOME =)
Imagine him + artosis .... AHHHHHHHHH AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! OOOOOOOMG!!! ...... OOOOOOOOOOOH SHIIIIIIIIT!
